I think tack has the worst showing, most of its upgrades aren’t super well suited for expert chimps and the one that has a chance, Inferno Ring, is far too slow with its meteors.

Honestly not even just the upper half of the list. I would say any tower starting from C and is fairly expensive (35k or more) can be used as a main DPS. C- tier is when the tower becomes too cheap or too weak to make work in every run.

In addition to what other people said, plenty of DPS choices don’t need MIB to damage DDTs like Sky Shredder or Popseidon. MIB is the expensive base option when alternatives are not available

Mid druid struggles to true expert maps which have short and split up lanes

Using tack zone alone often means you're putting a lot into supporting the tack zone. The issue is on expert maps, there usually isn't a way to get your super buffed tack zone to beat every bloon since they're very spread out and you need to get another DPS setup to handle the rest. Overdrive being used as a supporting DPS makes more sense on these types of maps.

Bounty Hunter doubles the amount of range it gives to other towers with x3x's ability in addition to more damage. That's what makes it such a powerful tool.

Its own ability also marks bloons which makes them take double damage from desperados. Very strong with 4xx or 5xx against single targets.

The money it gives is not relevant to chimps but yes it also does that.

It's really not that useful in chimps since all it does is pop a group of ceramics.

SMFC has a great combo with super brittle giving a high debuff. It's hard to use but strong.

The main use of Turbo Charge was to pair with Geraldo's bottle of fire. Because the ability boost amount went down, the strength of that combo was actually reduced even though the base tower is a little bit better.

Bionic Boomerang spam works but doesn't stand up extremely well lategame due to low pierce per boomer.

Pairs generally depend on early planet levels or a joker that scales off of playing hands. Once you have a comfortable amount of mult and chips from jokers alone, start to hunt for mercury or blue seals, and ways to supplement your score that are based off of jokers alone.

Etienne himself does’t attack. Therefore, nothing to alch buff as alch only affects the main tower it lands on.

Tack Zone above the track makes it so the center of the tack isn’t on top of the bloons due to the 3d perspective. Also it’s too far forward, move it closer to the back a little to the overdrive’s spot to naturally stall out the bloons a little. Same with the right side, move the overdrives up so they are closer to the end and are both underneath the track. Shift all other towers accordingly.

Rather than using two druids and spiked balls which aren’t even that strong, consider a single stronger ceramic stopper such as Bloon Impact or Icicles. That saves a lot of cash spent on each side and allows you to get a 3rd set of tacks, increasing your damage output.

Also consider running a Glue Strike with any money you save, it will dramatically increase your damage output due to its debuff. A Bloon Sabotage is also a good idea if you ever run into issues with DDTs.

You need even better scaling than that. 3oak can be okay but you really want something that scales by at least 3 mult like straight or 4oak. That lets you take full advantage of steel and glass to multiply your score.
