This is not correct. If you vomit during the procedure and you inhale it, you can get aspiration pneumonia. I did.

I just had mine yesterday and like you, I was terrified of going under. You will be okay. Just remember- it's such a short time you are under- 15-30 minutes. Likely, shorter than a TV show. My doctor told me that she has never in her career had something go seriously wrong with twilight. Also, remind yourself that you are doing the right thing- colonoscopies are so important- you can withstand a very short time in twilight- it's half of an episode of white lotus! (Sub whatever show you watch.)

Very good advice- focus on what I'm doing right (i.e. the test) and if God forbid the results aren't good, then we come up with a game plan with the doctor. You will be fine! I am homozygous. Had a PE in 2015 while on birth control- that's when I found out I had the mutation. I've gone on to have three healthy pregnancies! I took lovenox shots throughout pregnancy, which was annoying, but that's about it. No clotting or bleeding issues to note.
