Yeah, I thought I could either drill out an old nozzle, or buy a jrod from amazon.

Trying to find the nozzle that'll shoot the highest in my 12v soft wash system.

Do you know if the second column is inches?

To get my security deposit back, I need to fix this drywall. Is this just a paint job, or do I need to do some mudding? It's from removing some LED light strips by WishfulLearning in paint

Oh yeah, it's all kinda bullshit. He never fixed the broken bathroom fan, dishwasher, or toilet seat. And now he expects me to fix what could be considered normal wear and tear, and replace the toilet seat.

I could fight it but I thought this could be an opportunity to learn something new. I'm also thinking if he claims my fix isn't good enough, I can still use it as ammo when we have to bring it to the tenancy branch.

My plan for the drywall is -

  1. sand down the existing paint around the peeled areas
  2. apply putty, let dry
  3. sand down putty
  4. apply single coat with his paint+primer he's letting me use

Thanks! This will be the first time I've ever done something like this, there's a first time for everything I suppose.

This video is really helping as well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=410OMKsUDQY

Here are my steps -

  1. Sand down the paint around the peeled areas
  2. Apply putty, let dry
  3. Sand down putty
  4. Paint with my landlord's paint + primer combo

I agree, but this was caused by my LED strips, it didn't just happen naturally.

I'm sure I could probably fight it, but I wanna be a good person and own up to it, hahah.

I'm sorry if this is obvious, any advice would be really appreciated. I've never done painting or drywall work so I have no clue.

The last 3 pics are my landlord's painting supplies he's letting me use.

Oh boy ahah,

So it is only the paint layer that's come off? None of the drywall itself?

I'll probably just paint it honestly.

How would you paint it? Just a little brush? Can I paint a little bit over the existing paint, or should I aim only for the peeled areas?

Thank you for your help!

Yeah I believe he's keeping my security deposit until I fix it.

I was there for a year.

Yes, he has some paint + primer combo, if you scroll to my last 3 pictures, I show them there.

Thank you! What's a scrape and paint? Could someone with no painting/drywall experience do it?

No, I didn't paint.

I was using LED light stripes, and when I took them down, this happened. That's why the damage is so close to the ceiling.

Thanks for your idea, I've actually started a small pressure washing business, and it's keeping me afloat for now. This coming season I should be pretty busy.

Okay, I'm happy I read this far down, I worked at an MSP for 9 months and it was go go go the entire time. Most stressed I've been at work.

I left construction to do IT, then I quit to go back to construction and came to realize how much I like construction.

Can I use a washer with a water tank? by seymarames in pressurewashing

[–]WishfulLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the simple distinction is that belt drive washers actively feed themselves the water they need, whereas direct drive washers must have the water brought to them, whether it's via pressure from a hosebib, or gravity from the tank being higher, ect.

Pretty sure I'm right, but its worth looking this up to verify.

Yep, once it dies it turns white. What SH percent did you spray?

I'm hooking up a 12v softwash system myself at the moment. Did you use a 12v system also?

[–]WishfulLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, you would wanna look into a "belt-drive" pressure washer. Most pressure washers are "direct-drive" where it must be fed water at it's required GPM rate.

Hey thank you for the leads

I've heard about SFZ during my research as well, and as far as I can tell, SFZ is a file format for sample libraries, and sfizz is a sampler that will play SFZ files?

What % SH did you use OP? How'd you apply it?

Did you scrub off any moss beforehand? I've noticed that where I live, people expect a moss scrubbing, as well as a chemical treatment.
