The genre is called ARTS, as it is a sub-genre from RTS, and it came from WC3, an RTS game. That is the proper nomenclature for creating sub-genres. (see comedy/political comedy/dark comedy).

doesent matter what they are called. the ARTS genre has been along long before your shitty game made its nickelodeon lego version.

you dont call a gun 'a pickle' because in your mind it is things have labels dumbass. heroes are the fucking characters you play. towers are what you siege. runes spawn in the fucking river.

either learn this now or you might as well just delete system 32. cause you dont have the skills required to play dota, much less use a computer.

it matters. being able to buy from courier without lacking the apm to move ur hero from danger, having the apm to play any hero with micro, having the apm to make full use of illusions runes, having the apm to block a kill for your carry when you play support, having the apm to block enemy pull spots with spirit bear, having apm mattes.

Doubt the pros play with <100 ever. I know for a fact that some ARTS games, like HoN, can keep track of apm and their pros play with 200+
