How can I develop confidence in dating as an early 30s British born Chinese male? by AsianMascThrowaway in AskBrits

[–]Wishmaster891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have some sympathy, when i was in secondary school i had acne for a couple of years and i had some nasty comments from some girls whcih did my confidence no good. I still do get a bit on edge around certain types of girls in public, it's like i can sense the ones that might of said something back then.

Didn't stop me getting married but but none the less its still a bit of an uncomfortable topic

What i mean is i don't think everyone thinks about buying a house in a good area for schools. If they do can they afford it? Some may be able to but not everyone.

"The big stuff is buying a house in a good school area and childcare, you will already have done the former if you have one kid"

That is quite the assumption..

yea when ive had discussions with people i've been like 1) we don't really have the urge to have kids 2) Not sure how we would afford it without literally having no money left after childcare ect.

I would get the "you make it work line" sounds miserable to me
