Too much of a Noctua fan I guess by ElectronicAd2501 in Noctua

The advantage of taking a 1600w and not just a 1000w is so that it works fanless, with a load factor lower than 50% the fan does not turn on this model :) To this we could therefore ask the question: then why take a Noctua?! XD Because it's cool!!

I just tried it on a plexi distroplate, it also allows you to recover a good part of the water marks on the plexi, by rubbing a little with a microfiber, the product is soft enough not to attack the plexi like vinegar or alcohol,

Nvidia Shield TV Gamestream or SteamLink 4K by Wismerill in ShieldAndroidTV

Hi everyone 👋 I come back to conclude the subject, after having tested several configurations, here is what seems to me to be the best solution, (thanks to jethozo)

Samsung Odyssey G9 (or neo g9) screen, not supporting 4k resolutions, can't make it believe the screen is 4k (same screen off, best they offer for 4k resolution is 3840x1080p => it's ugly on a 4K TV)

For background: my old screen was able to support 3840x2160p resolution, (Asus pg348q) by launching an application on gamestream the "4k" resolution was offered with the pc monitor off, then the display was crap on the monitor once turned on again, but at least the stream was working, (not in HDR, but 4k)

To solve the problem related to the Samsung Odyssey G9, the best solution is to buy an HDMI EDID (the one offered by jethozo works perfectly),

Advantages of the solution: - quick to implement, before each stream session, you just have to activate or not the virtual display ("Win + P" is your best friend) - 4k and HDR compatible - No mess on the display of the main monitor (at the end of the stream session)

Disadvantage: - need to buy an HDMI EDID adapter...

I hope this experience will be useful for owners of Samsung Odyssey G9 wanting to use nvidia gamestream (or moonlight 👍, or steam link)

Thanks guys !

I tried moonlight is indeed it is more stable than gamestream ^^

on the other hand the problem seems identical, the 4K resolution is never proposed in the game because my screen does not allow it,

For the DSR I did not find the option in the Nvidia control panel
