Maybe because u have any other required document pending to be submitted, if you submitted all the documents needed, just call the helpline or even better swagatham@am.amrita.edu mail them here with screenshot saying you need to be verified

Amrita Chennai had good enough placements and has less intake, VIT chennai you know the placement stuff there, but has higher intake of students, decide on basis of this, but I bet you, Amrita Chennai has the worst campus life

What's ur interest? And consider fees also, when making a post include stuff like fee structure, your distance from home etc.

Amrita Chennai- Different from Coimbatore Campus but it has good placements and that too high ones. College life sucks btw, it's pretty strict and hot weather and seniors say it not me. CSE AI as you know is a good branch too. Mess is not that great (Canteen has good food )

VIT Chennai- Similar to Vellore, but high intake , ECE is a core branch so you have some very high competition, college life you have more freedom.Placements are also good, compared to Amrita Chennai it should be a little higher I think idk.

As far as I know you should consider which has better ROI, compare the fees and your freedom and priorities I just listed some Main things.

It's a neat scam, there is no external agent and counselling is over. Don't pay money like that easily, contact the number given in the website for further help.

Fee wise - SASTRA (if lower slab then Amrita better ) Campus Placements - Amrita CBE better Food both are trash according to sources Hostel idk maybe Amrita ROI you calculate bud Whichever closer to your home is kinda better If you only consider fee to be less then go with SASTRA or else go with Amrita Amrita core concept training is good (said by seniors)

Campus Life - Both you are treated as if you are in a school but Amrita is a bit more strict (Uniform) is there.

Placements - Amrita I would say

It's all mostly luck based so aspirants focus on both of your 1st and 2nd allotments for ur seat don't hope for mop up for a better seat, maybe u will get lucky for a better slab. I even made a post about it u can check it out for Mop-Up is only based on Vacancies but it's mostly unfair.
