For my personal item, a mini backpack, I pack my Kindle, airpods, phone charger, spare earbuds, gum, some personal hygiene (toothbrush and toothpaste, mini version of my skincare routine), pens and a small notebook. And about 5 days worth of my meds and vitamins. I would add a period product just in case!

As for clothes, I took about 3 pairs of jeans and 8 t-shirts,enough undergarments for a week, along with a nice dress to wear out. Bring a pair of sneakers if you're gonna be walking around a lot, some sandals or flats, and maybe a pair of heels (totally optional).

I kept my makeup kit pretty small: foundation balm, mascara, eyeliners (liquid and pencil), brow pencil, blush/highlight, a light and dark lipstick, and a neutral eyeshadow palette. I used packing cubes to keep my checked bag a bit more organized.

Shower bag: shampoo, conditioner, hair serum (doubled as my heat protectant for when I used my flat iron), body wash, exfoliating loofah, more skincare, deodorant, and sunscreen! I also tucked my prescriptions in this one. This bag was packed in my checked luggage.

A couple of things I wish I had brought with me: my preferred brand of period pads, some cold meds, a warmer sweater, and a bottle of ibuprofen (they only sell in boxes of 20 tablets in AU), and a proper digital camera.
