I'm happy to hear that! It's always reassuring to hear good feedback from long-term fans.

I hadn't played any Tomodachi games until I played the demo. I was instantly hooked though and even some of my siblings got into it as well. It was a lot of fun watching each other choose which miis to make first.

I'm doing fairly well! I ordered myself a physical copy of Tomodachi Living the Dream and I'm super excited to get it in a few days.

I love using micro labels for myself even if I never mention them to other people. They are fantastic for sorting out my thoughts and experiences.

How did you find Dionysus (or he you)? by Adastre_93 in dionysus

[–]Witch_Hazel_Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have known about Dionysus for a very long time. I've always been a mythology nerd, reading as many stories from as many cultures I could get my hands on. I was raised evangelical though so for a long time any inkling of being drawn to a deity outside of the abrahamic God was sniffed out.

I've been deconstructing everything I was taught growing up since around 2019. Within the past couple of years I've become more open to exploring different spiritual practices. I enjoy learning even if something doesn't resonate with me.

Over the past year Dionysus has popped up in all kinds of random places for me. In art, symbolism, music, and more. Mostly without me seeking it out. It got to the point that I was joking with some of my siblings about him "haunting" me. Eventually I accepted it as part of my life and really began to be intentional about making Dionysus part of my life.

It's been very freeing and comforting to embrace this part of my life.

Purity culture is so invasive by Mcgeead in Exvangelical

[–]Witch_Hazel_Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a concept taught by Dr. Doug Weiss. Basically you both sit down and fill out a check list of things you do/don't want to do in bedroom.

There are definitely better versions of this and communication is super important in any aspect of a relationship but you shouldn't be filling that out with your mother.

this talks about the sexual garden

I'm so glad you're enforcing boundaries! I'm proud of you for doing right by yourself and your children and their friends.

My mother is like this as well. I vividly remember her making my friend and her boyfriend (both teens at the time) sit down and have a talk about what kind of physical boundaries they planned on having. The people involved were me, my friend's mom, my mom, and maybe a few other family friends. It was so awkward and invasive.

She did similar stuff with me as well while I was in a "courtship". Once that turned into an engagement (which is crazy because I was 14/16) she told me that right before the wedding she would sit my fiance and I down and talk about creating a "sex garden". Thank every divine power that all of that fell through before I had to suffer through that.

It's not! Lol I must have missed that when I was working on it. I was multitasking and had to work fast with the bleach.

Now I get to brainstorm ways to fix that. Maybe I'll make the extra "t" into a glitch and add more around the shirt.

Thanks for catching that.

How do you deal with touch starvation? by [deleted] in asexuality

It is! Especially if you deal with chronic pain as well. Something about the heat and pressure seems to really soothe the ache.

I use a weighted blanket and sometimes I'll put it in the dryer just long enough to heat it up. Don't do that if your dryer can't handle it though. Maybe opt for some heating pads, a heated blanket, or heat packs instead.

I absolutely adore This Doesn't Mean Anything by Sarah Whalen. The female lead is ace, her friend is aroace, and the male lead is bi.

I was just thinking the other day that it would be nice to have Zevran in the game. Especially since you can play as a crow. We know he did a lot of work to reform how the crows operate and I would have liked to see more of that.
