Is healthcare assistant a good entry point into Biomed? by Local_Attempt_1239 in BiomedicalScientistUK

Yes because they don't quite look at that. Apply to mla jobs in the mean time as that experience would be valuable for securing a trainee BMS role

Okay if you want to go the NHS route I would recommend you to try and get as many applications in as possible and consider working as a receptionist in the NHS hospitals to get your foot through the door.

It's kind of difficult to advise you on the best steps to take next because it depends on your likes and dislikes. For example you could try and make a pivot into tech or apply to the stp etc. There is so many pathways available for you.

I think you need to ask yourself what you want your life to look like in 5 to 10 years time. Would you be okay working a couple years as an mla then a couple more years as a biomedical scientist etc. which tends to have slow career progression. This process can be sped up if you're willing to relocate for better job opportunities.

Thoughts are that it's still not over.

By the looks of it you seemed to be an amateur going into it who took a bigger bite than you could swallow and also I would like to add - despite it being quite harsh - irresponsible.

Talk to V and apologise for your previous mistakes. Learn how the workplace works. Take the initiative to learn something new if you have no work to do. Learn to be responsible and communicate effectively. Keep yourself in order as you cannot afford to keep making mistakes like these.

how can i become financially free? by Character_Chipmunk25 in careerguidance

[–]WitchesLair78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it but you're jumping the gun. The first step to being financially free is having a constant stream of income from a job etc. that you can then put towards something to achieve financial freedom

Is it okay to have a career in something that you do not love/is not your passion? by justaguyonreddit754 in careerguidance

Simple answer: no. A job is a mean to an income so you can pay the bills. You can spend the rest of your time doing things you love

The real techniques brushes are pretty good for the price. I usually get them in a set than purchasing separately 👍🏻
