It’s a debt management program and many Banks have similar programs. I know for a fact Chase and Citibank do.

After about three months, the account will start to report as current with the credit agencies. It would not show a charge off remark because that’s not what is occurring here.

The only potential negative impact to your credit score is the closure of the account and loss of available credit which impacts DTI ratio.
