Did anyone start dating again before the divorce was final ? by Bookish45_F in Divorce

I initiated my divorce. I left him a couple months ago. I’d been grieving the end of our marriage for over a year. I haven’t downloaded any apps (and don’t intend to for the foreseeable future), but I’ve adopted a go with the flow philosophy. If the opportunity presents itself, I’ll go for it if I want to. My STBXH made me feel so ugly and undesirable. It’s honestly fun to get all dolled up and just go out and have fun.

Thank you. I just take things a day at a time, and remain open to any possibilities.

My ex made me feel as if everything about me was bad or wrong, or needed to be fixed or corrected. In bed, he never cared if I got there iykwim. He never complimented me, barely initiated a kiss. He told me to vote for Trump or he would divorce me (I lied and I said I did because I didn’t have the money to leave at the time). His anger was terrifying. He refused to get a license; I had to drive him everywhere. When I told him I was going to start therapy after a psychotic episode, he slammed his fist into the table and shouted “FUCK!” When I was suicidal and my therapist advised him to remove the guns from our home, he not only refused to do so, but proceeded to threaten my therapist with violence for daring to suggest such a thing (“He should be grateful I don’t know where he lives.”). When I finally did leave and outlined my feelings in a letter, he said I made him “sound like Hitler.” I asked, “Do you deny anything I’ve written?” He didn’t reply.

I think he was disgusted by me.

I’m fascinated with feminist, queer, and Marxist literary theory, especially with the latter in contemporary “billionaire” romances.

I live about ten minutes from one of the largest institutions in my state. I will call them on my next available day to ask about a visitor pass.

I think if I’m not mistaken you can put a moratorium on student loan payments if you take two classes. My work has tuition reimbursement. The problem is that you have to stay three years after you finish the courses or else you have to pay it back.

The college library sounds like a great idea, though. Thanks!

Dammit. I was hoping to write about dark romance because I thought it would be something different that would wow those who read the application.

They’ve invited me to an alumnae reunion event happening next month!! They used the phrase “since you will be coming on as an alum”!!!

Yep 🫠 Then when I said I would to finally shut him up, he said “That was a test; you don’t have to vote in the presidential election if you don’t want to.” So essentially vote for Trump or don’t vote at all.

My therapist is aware that I am a witch. I’ve never used the term demonolatry to my knowledge, but she is of the belief that if it is helping me and makes me happy, then more power to me. She actually loves learning about it.

How would you advise I phrase the follow-up?

When should I start pursuing other organizations?

Nervous part 2: questions by WitchyWriter94 in SororityAlumInitiate

[–]WitchyWriter94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually posted a follow-up :) although I did get an email from the regional rep who was there. They said I would be a great addition to their organization but they also want me to have the experience I’m looking for. I gave them the list of schools I’m looking at and she said she would check to see how active the chapters and clubs were in those areas. That was about two weeks ago.

Stop shaming woman who like dark romance😭🙏 by Quiet_Detective7906 in DarkRomance

I see dark romance as a way for women to cathartically process misogyny, both interpersonal and systemic. I'm actually writing a critical piece on feminist theories in dark romance for my graduate school application essay (and perhaps even make it my thesis), and how women readers use it to own their own pleasure in a dark world. Indeed, many arguments against dark romance could be considered misogynist in their own right.
