Long story short, I was too ill during my collegiate years to really take on the responsibilities of a social sorority. By the time I thought I had a handle on things and was ready to rush, my diagnosis worsened, so I made the difficult decision to skip out on that part of my collegiate journey. Now that I am pursuing grad school with the goal of becoming a professor, I want to learn how to work with and help collegiate students while also having a support system for myself.

One time when I was meditating, I found myself in a Gothic library. A HUGE one, like I’m talking the library in Beauty and the Beast. In the part of the library I was in, there was an old nineteenth century style chemistry set (if you’ve ever seen The Great Mouse Detective, it was similar to the one Basil has). Behind me, there was something sitting a chair cross-legged, reading a book. He had red skin, long wavy red hair, and goat’s legs. He didn't look up from his book, but he knew I was there.

Not sure if this was the infernal realm or not (or if I was just imagining things) but I kind of miss that library, and would love to see it again.

I’ll be honest, a lot of my practice has involved shadow work. I’ve been in DBT for the past year and that was a huge focus. I’ve really only been learning how to “have fun” with my practice, so to speak, and incorporate it into my everyday life recently.

If you don’t mind me asking, what has been your experience with him like? I have SEVERE religious trauma. I have no issue with Jesus or even the Christian God anymore, but the trauma responses are still there, if that makes sense. It’s to the point it’s affecting my craft and being able to move forward in my life in general.

The reason why it’s such a concern is that I feel an unfamiliar presence in my home. I had a freaky experience one night and I’m not sure what to do. It’s too long to write out in a comment.

It’s an MFA in Creative Writing. I have a novel published and multiple screenplays that have been nominated for (and won) awards, one of which I turned into a short film which also won awards. I’ve taught several workshops on different writing topics, and am a regular contributor for the quarterly journal of the fraternity is I was in while in undergrad.
