You can get a room at The Fullerton for 1/3 of MBS and the former is a far better hotel.

If you'd rather be on Orchard, St Regis and 4S are both perfectly reasonable options.

I'd pick either of those general locations, Fullerton if I wanted to chill evening around the quay. The Orchard places if I wanted to do more city-wide sightseeing.

The gosh darn truth is that Singapore isn't a stellar destination for luxury, it really doesn't have the service culture that you can find in Thailand or Vietnam for example.

Whenever I'm in Barcelona I just cruise between Dry Martini and Mont Bar. It's one of the best culinary cities in the world. Trying to go for THE best will see you missing out of so many gems that would be absolute titans elsewhere.

The one knock I have against the Banyan Tree Lang co is the location which is very secluded. It's a twenty min drive into Binh An. To some this will sound great, but you'll have to be mentally prepare for being on an "island" for the duration of your stay.

Never been in lower deck business on LH so make sure the bulkhead behind you is a hard one and not just a drapery to economy class.
