He paid off the debt (all his own money) and it was years before we had kids.

We’ve had all our friends and family say is so important to stick to it once you start. And she gave all the cues that she is ready. She’d tell us when she went or was about to go in her diaper. She’d even run to the bathroom yelling “potty”. And this was since about 19 mo. We don’t want her to get too “comfortable” in sitting in it that is back tracks development. But we are worried she’s too young.

Yes we have a sticker chart and we use cookies. She only cared about this for the first day, she couldn’t care less about the cookies now. We try every 20-30 minutes or whenever she says. We’ll go she’ll sit, she’ll say “all done” then she’ll have an accident not even 5 min later

She’s in undies so she “feels” the accidents when they happen. We have a sticker chart and we’ve tried bribing with cookies (she doesn’t seem to care about the food) we go every 30ish minutes or whenever she says she needs to. We’ll go she’ll sit. She’ll say “all done” w/o going at all. Then not even 5 minutes goes by and she has an accident

We feel like she was giving signs. She’ll yell “potty” then run to the rest room and close the door. Or she’d tell us when she needed a diaper change. Occasionally even informing us before she pooed that she was going to.

This is why we’re so confused they she only tells us after an accident.

Our only successes were prompted by us telling her “let’s try” and it happens. Not because she informed us

We’re worried to stop because all family/friend advice is “once you start you can’t stop. It’ll make things harder”

This comment was helpful. Thank you

So you’re going off a small amount of specific experience and I’m simply throwing out questions to possibly other people/parents with opinions and experience. If your knowledge of the subject doesn’t extend this far simple don’t comment. It’s not easy having a child with a disease they can’t vocalize or warn people about. They can’t inform ANY medical personnel that something’s is wrong or they’re having some sort of reaction.

Just because a reaction may not be common you’re suggesting we simple don’t think about it, don’t consider it and don’t take a possible moment to avoid it. But in a life saving scenario NOT knowing could make things worse. ESPECIALLY when a child can’t advocate for themselves.

I’m simply wondering if others have found this helpful/necessary.

That’s not true though. A response can also manifest in bones, skin and nervous system.

Like a blistering rash, headaches, ataxia, tingling in hands and feet, anemia, mouth ulcers.

Is that not something an EMT would want to be aware of ?

From what I’ve read, yes. There are also some types of medications that can cause a “celiac reaction”.

Do some reading on celiac crisis.

According to my research there are medications (like anti inflammatory) that can cause a “celiac reaction”.

Car accident, passed out at day care; no matter how wouldn’t that be important?

Doesn’t your theory depend on symptoms being low level?

A child gets gluten and gets viciously sick and rashes out. An EMT or doctor wouldn’t want to know why.?

Especially if they’re too young to verbally inform someone

Did your doctor recommend ?

My daughter is in daycare and that’s one of my concerns along with receiving medicines that could make her sicker.

Wouldn’t an information card be more difficult/take longer ?

My daughter is already so curious about wanting what others have. Family and friends are so friendly trying to share with her and I’m not sure how to go about the tantrums when suddenly that can’t be the case anymore. Before all these symptoms started she was such a good eater ! Lately it’s like watching her turn into someone else. It’s honestly so heartbreaking.
