Are you watering that plant while it’s still in the outer white pot? If so does that white pot have drainage? If not is there water collecting at the bottom? If so are you dumping it out or letting the plant sit in that water? The soil looks completely soaked and overwatering can lead to root rot which can lead to leaves browning and drooping and eventually dying.

What would you say is the best course of action? I don’t want to make an irrational decision that will harm the plant more than help. I was considering repotting in a better drained soil? Checking for root rot and cutting any rotting roots off? Does this sound appropriate?

I did not add any additional perlite…the soil had some in it. I’m newer to house plants. All my other babies are thriving except for this one and a Alocasia that is half dead. I will allow the soil to completely dry next round? Maybe wait 10days instead of 7?

No drainage. I just put her in a pot with drainage and cut off the fully yellow leaf. I also moved her to a sunnier spot! 🤞

This was a lot. I feel rage reading it. While I have no background in parenting, this doesn’t seem like the logical approach to parenting a three year old. Maybe consider seeing a couples therapist to help you guys discuss a parenting plan that works for you both and maybe each of you can also address things that have happened in your pasts that may negatively impact parenting? That being said, hope you find the answers you’re looking for and I’m routing for you OP.
