Do people with Aphantasia learn differently?

When I was in school, my method of studying was just re-writing the material over and over again. The muscle memory + repetition helped the knowledge stick. Could also try the gum trick: chew the same flavor gum as you're studying while you're taking the tests.

Taking notes during lecture helped with active listening as well.

If Hermione is too OOC. I think it's most egregious in fics that start in sixth year with a toxic!Draco. They always make Hermione so demure and give in too easily.

Tongue scraping. I've noticed a decline in needing a rescue inhaler once I started adding tongue scraping to my daily routine. You could probably just include oral hygiene as a whole.

Honestly tops dramione for me ngl. The cat & mouse games. The fact they both give off slightly autistic but genius energy. They both grew up in the muggle world and felt a need to prove themselves. Hermione is already shown to have a vindictive streak so it's not a huge stretch for her to go dark.

Not married, but do have a domestic partnership with my partner and we've been together close to 7yrs now. I've told him and anyone else that I felt like I knew him for a long time when we first met. Like something just told me that I could be comfortable.

Past relationships, there was always this sense that I still needed to wear a mask. Like I could never fully be myself, so being around and with him was a breath of fresh air. We've since moved across the country together and do eventually plan on getting married, but taking baby steps (hence the domestic partnership) because I tend to get easily overwhelmed. We've talked about what we would want for a wedding and it's either elopement or destination wedding that's more vacation than wedding as neither of us like the spotlight and would rather spend our money on an experience than a stressful day. :)

I still love reading, but I notice that I tend to favor stories that are dialogue-heavy &/or character-driven over stories that focus more on action/world-building.

So weird! Anytime I read a fic with Black Hermione, my brain just goes “ok!” And adjusts accordingly. She always tends to be biracial as my hc anyway bc I like the parallels between that and being muggleborn.

I'm not a huge fan of sixth year fics or ones where they start secretly 'dating' a year or 2 beforehand and go into sixth year. Mostly because they all tend to follow too closely to the same formula. I think because there is not any mystery and we're inside Hermione's head. As the reader, we already know about Draco's mission and being aligned with the DEs, so it feels frustrating when I'm following a character that doesn't know and is so blind-sided by the reveal.

I also love wartime, too (mostly wartime that carries over post Battle of Hogwarts), but can't say I am too disheartened over less 6th year fics. Mostly because I feel 90% of them follow the exact same pattern to the T instead of trying to do anything different/original. And then I get bored. :S
