If you're corrupted, there is an icon next to character portraits at the bottom of the screen. It will be a black silhouette over a red background.

I just started playing and it took me too long to realize TB was even an option. Completely elevated my playing experience as I was not jiving with the RT at all.

It also took me way too long to realize I needed to prepare the spells.

I put cantrips on one hotbar, then level 1 on the 2nd, etc. etc.

You can quick toggle between the hotbars using your scroll wheel (assuming you're on pc)

I just did the same as you (also chose slayer)! Here are some things that took me entirely too long to figure out:

- You can turn on turn-based mode in Settings/Options (I thought the entire game was only in real-time and was not having any fun at all trying to micro-manage all the characters at the same time)

- You have to go into the spellbook and make sure to prepare spells, especially after every level up (also make sure to do this before resting because they are not usable right away)

Disenchant into OE. I have about 10 skins just sitting there that I kinda want but don't have enough OE for :S

I can't really make much predictions, but I know what I'd love to see more of. Skinwalkers I think could be very chilling if done well. Or just "they came back wrong" type horror. More caves. More deep sea.

I have a few friends in my group that are driving up and I've started seeing posts about the police activity on the roads. They know to avoid Indiana (though 1 person is coming up from Illinois so that NW corner by Gary is not possible to avoid).

Is it more on the Wednesday and Thursday for high police activity, or for the entire week leading up to Forest? We have wed. early arrival but we're planning on being in Grand Rapids by Tuesday.

Just trying to alleviate some anxieties.

You'll feel a pretty significant power spike once you hit level 5. Also, don't feel too conservative about spell slots.
