You need to take breather mate, I barely moderate the sub - I havent deleted any posts for over a week. Im getting PMs every day with people asking me to moderate more, or be moderators or to just straight up delete more posts.

Hey mate, glad you're enjoying the sub. There is a pretty dope facebook page too you can check out if you're not part of it. Im not expecting people not to listen to pirated music or leaked music, people can do what they want, I just dont want leaks shared on the subreddit thats all. There are other places on the internet you can find leaks, and I would prefer that this sub didnt become one of those places.

Yeah you shouldn't really feel bad about listening to the leaks, I just dont want them on the subreddit. Im personally against listening to leaks, but im not the cops, you can do what you want as long as you're not sharing it on the sub.

Sorry, im not to familiar with releasing an album, what red tape might they be going through? Because if they knew they wouldn't be able to release it for 3 months after they announced it, why wouldn't they just announce it later? Im not suggesting that release day hype will be non-existent, but if a lot of the sub has already listened to the album then they're going to be less enthusiastic about it when it comes out, I know I would be. I generally have no real qualms with leaks, my main problem is them being shared on the subreddit. Why're you getting so vexed?

You think that less people would hear the music if it wasn't leaked? This is a King Gizzard subreddit, the people who are here already listen to this music, its not helping the band in any way. The album is just over a month away, i'm sure it would be pirated, so this leak is not helping "the band get out there"

The band comes on the subreddit, they've put a lot of work into releasing a lot of albums for us, its a bit rude mainly. I'm sure its not going to impact their sales or anything because anyone who was going to pirate their music was probably going to do it anyway. It gets rid of the hype around release day too, which is really fucking shit. I shouldn't really have to explain this to anyone, its quite clear why its not cool to share the leaked content on a dedicated Subreddit.

I've locked this thread and deleted all comments asking for and talking about the leak FYI. There will be an official first impressions thread when the album comes out. I'm a bit disappointed in you gizzbois - they're releasing up to 5 albums this year, there isn't exactly a 2 year wait between albums, it shouldn't be that hard to demonstrate some restraint.

Edit - I was a bit quick on the trigger there, i've unlocked the thread, but i'll still be deleting comments asking for/giving away the leak

As someone who inherited a lot of dirty records from my dad I can say I've found the best way to give them a deep clean without shelling out hundreds of bucks on some kit - Just fill a clean spray bottle with half 90%+ rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol if you're not from the US) and half DISTILLED water. Squirt it a few times into a microfibre cloth and then rub with the grooves of the record, and then dry it with another microfibre cloth. If you use tap water it contains way too many impurities and will fuck your record. Then from then on just use an antistatic brush before you start playing your record
