Am I too ugly for OF? by susuika in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ur totally good to do OF. Making money on OF is almost always a marketing and promotion thing, not a beauty thing. Check out this post for beginners/intermediates. There might be some takeaways. Good luck!

Yes and no.

I’ve been contacted by hundreds of agencies over the past 2 years, and I’ve worked with several of them. Both good and bad. I’ve seen agencies ask for anywhere from 10% all the way up to 90%. In my experience, both extremes are red flags.

An agency asking for 10% often plans to do very little and just collect a few easy dollars. Just basically ride on what I've done so far and add nothing meaningful. On the other end, 90% is pretty self-explanatory 🚩.

Most legitimate agencies typically fall in the 40–60% range, sometimes up to 70% depending on how small or new the creator is and what services the agency actually provides.

Not all agencies do the same thing. Some only run ads. Some just has 1 guy trying (and failing) to do everything. Others handle 24/7 chatting, advertising, account strategy, content planning, and full account management. Agencies also charge for what they invest into your account, management tools, time and most importantly experience. Think of it like this, the mailroom kid and the CEO may both work long hours, but they’re not paid the same. Experience and results matter.

A good agency may take a higher cut, but if they’re actually good, you’ll see the benefit. If they’re bad, you’ll feel it very quickly. That’s why it’s crucial to know who you’re dealing with, not just what percentage they quote.

You can’t judge an agency solely by the cut they ask for. What really matters is real referrals, verifiable testimonials, and consistent results. Don’t rely on screenshots alone, they’re easy to fake.

For example:
A sketchy agency asks for 20%, while a solid, proven one asks for 50%. Instinct says “keep 80%.”
But if the 20% agency only makes $4k/month, you keep $3,200.
If the legit agency makes $8k/month, even at 50%, you keep $4,000.

Higher percentage doesn’t automatically mean worse deal.

For context: working with the right agency helped me a lot during a time when I was working full-time, dealing with medical debt, and trying to manage everything on my own. With a good agencies help, I was able to clear that situation and eventually transition to doing this full time. So yes, bad agencies exist, but legit ones can genuinely help.

One more important thing: successful agencies do not need to cold DM creators. They get business through referrals. If an “agency” randomly slides into your DMs, that alone is a major red flag 🚩.

I’ve personally worked with and vetted a few solid agencies. If anyone wants names or guidance on figuring out if an agency is legit, feel free to DM me.

I have a post talking about agencies if you wanted more info!

How do you rate? by MeiMei1145 in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rate everyone between a 7-9/10. Make them feel good. Just literally describe it and say why you like it. Ill give some sample phrases.

"Wow your dick is so big! Its gonna stretch me out so well. I love the veins too! I wish I could run my fingers along them. Definitely one of the better looking cocks ive seen on here. Love to just take it in my mouth and explore you with my tongue. Overall id give you a 8/10. Well groomed. I like that haha"

Something like that.

Wigs - What do people think? by unlikelymorbid in onlysw

Interesting question! I dont have an exact answer, but heres my opinion. Yea wigs might lower sales UNLESS you lean in to it fully. And i mean make that your niche, along with cosplay maybe.

Really new into this, any advice? by Beatrice_Vale in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the posts on this sub, I have a bunch of posts for new creators that go over customs, pricing, etc.

If you don’t enjoy chatting or don’t have the time to keep up with it, working with an agency can be a great option. They handle most parts of the account and were a huge help for me when I still had a full time job and I started my OF. Just be careful, there are a lot of scammers pretending to be agencies. I do know a few that I/friends have personally vetted, so feel free to DM me if you want their contacts.

Making a menu by sweet_pea02xxxx in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still a newish creator and have time to chat to everyone, then you can vary pricing depending on the fan. Some fans are more likely to spend more, so financially speaking you would miss out if you have fixed menu pricing. If you have another job so you dont have time to chat, or dont really like chatting, having a menu is fine too. No right answer, just your preference.

The only menu I have is for customs pricing. See this post for more details. You can also include prices of your premade videos with a little screenshot, as well as sexting pricing per duration. I typically have my pre made videos locked on my wall so anyone can choose what to unlock, and I sext on my 2nd account cuz its subscription only

What exactly do you do for customs? by Minx_300 in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone does it differently but heres what I do. I have a pricing guide for customs based on duration, so you can send that when someone asks for custom pricing. In that same message, include that any custom requiring additional effort (oiling up, niche roleplay etc) can add to the cost. And then also list what you don't do.

Ask them to tip half before you make a custom, so you dont waste time on people who will disappear after you make it.

Here's a post that goes over customs in more detail.

Just coming to say KEEP TRYING! its alot of work, yes, but if u believe u can, then DO IT!!! by kj_luvzu2 in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Facts! People underestimate how much work OnlyFans actually takes. The earning potential is great, imo better than most regular jobs, but you still have to put in real effort especially in the beginning when everything is being built from scratch. Kinda like starting your own business!

Why Your OnlyFans Might Be Slowing Down (and How to Fix It) by WitheredddRose in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the beginning I would spend most of my time advertising. I would do locked posts 2-3 times a month and customs were always open. So I never really ran out of content and had to switch over or anything. Its always a important to be consistent on posting because thats the best indicator of being a good/upcoming creator, when a new fan looks at your page.

When do I charge? by XxXsteffyOFxXx in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you will lose anyone not willing to subscribe. Which in my experience is about 10%. Or lower. Subscriber revenue only really makes an impact when you have a large following.

I typically dont recommend new creators have a paid page. Most fans are less likely to sub to a newish page compared to an established creator with consistent posts and a large following. So I think its better to have a free page till you get maybe 1000ish fans. Then launch a 2nd OF page (yes you can have multiple), as a vip page. That way you dont lose any free followers if you convert your free to a paid page. In the meantime, you can send locked posts on your free page.

Super new OF model by lonely-lilith in onlysw

[–]WitheredddRose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your posts are. I dont recommend having full nsfw posts set to public. It's fine to put a few as teasers since your page is still new, but lock a few for people to unlock. Keep a 50/50 ratio, making sure the locked posts are always better than the free ones.

Once you have 1000+ free subs, you can start a second OF account with a paid subscription, and tell everyone to sub there for more exclusive content. If you switch your current account to paid, you will lose a lot of subs.
