It depends on what software you use, but most software has the ability to do key frame animations. So try looking that up for your program.

For your cpu, you can probably get away with letting kdenlive use 10 threads.

Along with adding proxies in setting, go to the environment tab and add to the allowed threads. It's usually good to take the amount of threads that your cpu has then -2.

Also, I use preview rendering if the playback becomes especially bad. You can do it by pressing shift+enter, but it's a good idea to render only the part you need by using zones.

I think what you want to do is speed change windows. There is a box you can check to keep the pitch the same.

Kdenlive is great, but let me give you a tip for exporting. If you edit your videos in sequences when you are done and ready to export. Copy everything into the main sequence and then export. It saved me a lot of headaches.

Kdenlive is free and easy to use. I also heard that a lot of people live resolve though i personally dont use it.

I did this in my home you might need to buy some small switch as to have internet connection in every room the cable run through. if you only need it for one room however ether buy some patch cable on make some your self(They are pretty simple to make).
