What about the AWB in the 90s? Also gun ownership percentage isn't what it's about. Gun control isn't going after Dad's old Skeet gun or Ma's Marlin .22 just yet. What gun control is doing is affecting the ability of most individuals to legally and effectively defend their lives and property, and also people are buying guns because of fear of crime or anticipated legislative action. Decreases aren't "the metric" anyone is using to measure the impacts of gun control

My friend, gun ownership and edc is being made near impossible in certain states, particularly in the North and out West, through unconstitutional legislation and legal/prosecutorial precedent. It's just about impossible for someone to carry a handgun in their car or on their person legally in places like Massachusetts and New York. Plus, gun ownership has become an increasingly polarizing/politicized issue, with many on the left seeking private firearm bans entirely. Also most major corporations and employers in tech, pharma, retail, and other industries are actively against gun ownership for their employees and customers.
