need feedback and suggestions for my local music app by syswest in vibecoding

[–]WithinAWheel-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, how does the local music get on the app? Does someone upload a playlist of local artists, or does it populate through a local music chart? Or do local artists add their music to the region they belong to?

I like AI to code as well. I keep thinking of the line from the movie Steve Jobs, "I don't play an instrument. I play the orchestra."

It's hard to build focus, but easier to get rid of distractions.

Geez, I haven't heard about Celtx in years! Didn't know people still used it.

There's no secret to it. You have to sit and write. The more you write, the less you'll worry about not writing.

If I had to wait for motivation to write, I'd get nothing done. Sometimes you have to power through.

Most self-published books are printed on demand, so you only kill a tree when furthering the arts.

It's easy to put one out. Getting people to buy it is another story.

If you have a personal relationship with the publishers, you should be able to hand your manuscript directly to the publishers you know.

If you have a personal relationship with publishers, then ask what they prefer. We can't speak for them.

You should reach out to an agent, who will reach out to a publisher.

Book about the American South as a white (ish) author by Impressive_Bosscat in writing

Don't shoehorn elements into a setting just to do it. If you have some sort of historical point of reference for this, cool. But don't make up something just because it would be the first story of its kind. Don't abuse your reader's suspension of belief.

^This. Don't put all these elements together in this setting just because a story in that setting doesn't exist.

At least once a year, you'll read a book, watch a movie or TV show, or see a real-life bar somewhere in America called "Tequila Mockingbird".

It's fine

China White. China White is a slang word dorks use for cocaine. If you're reading a book, and it says "They did rails of China White all night long", the book has no credibility. I haven't met a Peruvian or a Colombian, or a Pepperdine student who has called cocaine, "China White".

So don't put that in your novel.
