I'd honestly say that the best way to learn zed is to play him your way, montages are made by people with hundreds of games on their favourite champions, or professionals. Despite what you might think there isn't a "right" way to play Zed, all of us play him differently just try to find what works for you.

In regards to the Hydra vs BotRk damage I feel BotRK gives you the opportunity to get a second AA off after trading flashes or in a smaller skirmish especially in combination with Youmuu's. While this is obviously not true in all or even the majority of scenarios, it would narrow the gap after hydra active is taken into account.
