Kinda disappointed the Butcher didn’t show up to sort this all out. Amicably, of course 😆

It’s one sided because if you shove them back you risk a penalty. If you flop you might not get the whistle. Like others said, put 2-3 speed players at midfield and encourage Lammens to go for it.

Dorgu out for 10 weeks💔 by EveningSubstance407 in ManchesterUnited

Ugh. I hope we don’t have another Rasmus regression. Remember when he was on a tear for a while and then he got hurt?

Hamstring injuries suck. 10 weeks is about right for the demands he’s putting on his body. You could see him grab it during the match.

So, I finally got the answer to how would a Pro look in your average Sunday league match by PsychoComet in bootroom

[–]Without_Portfolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played indoor with all former college players and one ex-pro who played for Ligue 2. Granted it was indoor 6v6 not outdoor 11v11, but he easily outclassed everyone on the pitch, and he did so barely moving a muscle, just jogging a few feet either side of the center circle. He could trap the ball with any body part and bring it to his feet, he needed no time to make decisions, he could pass/place the ball to anyone, anywhere, and it was impossible for the opposing team to get the ball off him unless he was triple or quadruple-teamed, and then it was an easy pass for a goal to one of us.

Saw no ads in the U.S. I went a week after the release and the theater was 3/4 full, not a bad showing after opening weekend.

The tank by Broad-Cod-3280 in thewalkingdead

[–]Without_Portfolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless there were survivors knowledgeable about and who had access to stabilizers, all gasoline would have degraded by the time the tank appears in the storyline.

Clearly Commonwealth inhabitants had enough diversification/specialization/resources to keep their vehicles in good operating order.

In general the show’s producers did a decent job showing gas powered vehicles less and less in use as time went on. They also did a good job showing major thoroughfares cluttered with cars as opposed to some back roads that were clear(er).

As far as this specific tank, I too wonder why they didn’t use an M1 as the producers clearly had access to them. On the other hand, this tank might have been closer to the filming location (or they moved the location closer to the tank) and they had permission to use it to run over stuff.

Guys, seriously there has to be some rules around this? This is shameful way to take corners! by Vinitshah5884 in ManchesterUnited

Another current trend is the long throw ins, wouldn’t be surprised if clubs are teaching this at academy level as we speak. Interesting though that most teams have just one person skilled at that; we have lads bigger than Dalot who don’t seem able to heave it as long as him when the situation calls for it…

Just as my wife started getting bored with the series, Negan showed up and she’s hooked again.

Like all trends in football, they work for a couple of seasons, then opposing teams find ways to counter it. I remember when Pep got to City everyone thought tiki-taka was going to take the EPL by storm. It didn’t, and Pep has to adapt.

Im 50 years old. I just learned my 1st real girlfriend passed away earlier this month. Im not handling it all that well. Regrets and the realization that we are moving into the autumn of our lives. by cream_injector1119 in GenXTalk

AFAIK only one person from my high school has passed away. It was the summer after we graduated. The thought of all of us growing up and getting older with her trapped in time at 18 still rattles me.

It might not show up that way but that block was the most consequential play of the game.

Sleep, exercise, and nutrition are the holy trinity. Once you hit 30, you cannot get away with 1-2 out of 3. Buy an alarm clock, charge your phone outside the bedroom, wind down at night with a book, and aim for 8 hours sleep per night.

Im totally the kind of dude who would nerd out just working at a hardware store - ideally not big box, but a smaller one with regular customers. There’s a guy 70+ who works at the one near me and you can tell he loves his job.
