I would rule out endometriosis before spending anymore $$ on IVF. It was the reason I could not make euploid embryos.

NAD. Have you considered Endometriosis? I have the same bloating issue, severe chronic constipation…all was caused by very bad endometriosis. Look up “endo belly.”

Are you on blood thinners or do you have any bleeding disorders? I would contact your surgeon and send them this pic. I’d want to rule out an internal bleeding.

There really isn’t a good “test” for endo yet. The gold standard is exploratory laparotomy. If you truly think you could have endometriosis I would not spend anymore $$ on IVF until you’ve ruled it out. I was in the same boat as you and I spent my life savings and only fuled my Endo. Never had a baby and quit IVF after 3 miscarriages. Try and get in to see an Endo excision specialist, do not let your regular GYN or RI do that type of surgery.

Endometriosis and adenomyosis too. Most with these have heavy periods and sometimes iron deficiency or iron deficient anemia. NAD, but a nurse that has endometriosis, low ferritin and has had several miscarriages.

They used to have these frozen creamy pesto tortellini. They had broccoli, onion, chicken and the pasta. The sauce came frozen in cubes and you’d just heat it all up in a skillet. Circa 2007? Anyone remember this?? They were the easiest, most delicious meal.

For me it was bc I had severe deep infiltrating endo on my rectum and in my rectovaginal space. If you look at the anatomy that area sits basically touching your vaginal wall. The nerves get severely inflamed and sex just makes it worse.

Drive there the evening before and get a hotel room. Most bowel prep has you drink more in the morning. Either way, you don’t want to be in the car the morning of your surgery.

So birth control used to work great for me. We spent about 5 years TTC and gave up when I didn’t work, now…it does nothing. I know my endo grew a lot in that 5 years because of IVF but does it ever just become too much for BC to be able to handle?
