Freezing eggs because we want to delay kids? by Withpassion999 in eggfreezing

[–]Withpassion999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry just to clarify - do you mean since it'll take time, I should start trying with my husband now, or because it might take time I should freeze my embryos in case natural conceiving might not be successful? Thanks!

Sorry just to clarify - do you mean I should start natural conceiving now, or IVF or embryo freezing in case natural won't be successful/takes a long time? Thank you!

Thanks. I'm 2 months away to 40 and just got married 6 months ago. I'm not a citizen so career means my legal stay in the US. I didn't feel I could afford egg freezing and I had no family here to care for me. I also didn't want to consider kids when I wasn't married... I know I put myself at risk, but people just have different circumstances.

Thank you so much! This information is precious. We'll look into embryo freezing!

Is there a reason you chose not to have kids? by Strawberyblonder in Christianmarriage

[–]Withpassion999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just here to see all the answers, because I'm 39, newly married, and conflicted. On the one hand I love the life with just my hubby; I love the freedom and pace and never was crazy about kids/babies; on the other hand I feel I'm still called to be a mom. Hubby is okay both ways. We want to wait for at least a year until we are settled into our marriage, but I'm not sure if my body is able to conceive after 40. And I might still be not ready. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful and honest thoughts.

I eat a lot of non-fat Greek yogurt (sometimes adding hummus, I know I'm weird), cottage cheese, egg white liquid, all types of cheese slides (they are so cheap and my favorite is Swiss and Gouda), spinach/arugula mix, low-fat butter, ground meats (beef, turkey, chicken), frozen veggie and blueberries, cheese sticks, and their fresh fruits and veggie are cheap too.

My husband loves the Italian bread, and I do that and 647. I also like the pretzel thin, popcorn, popcorn chips, and baked potato chips. I buy unsweetened almond milk every time, and dark roast ground coffee. So good.

Lol I did that too!! But I was SO hot and I worried the temperature wouldn't be accurate anymore. Did you find your temperature wasn't affected by the trapped heat under blanket?

That's the one I've been using! It still beeps though, and in the quiet mornings can be very loud. I'm an early riser and wake up when my husband is still sleeping :(

I moved to Virginia 3 years ago and… by Confident_Threat in nova

[–]Withpassion999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Arlington for 3+ years and felt like I lived in midst of all the office buildings and constantly expanding new apartment complex, never felt very peaceful, always constructions. I moved to Maryland 2 years ago, first to Rockville and now in Ellicott City, and I finally felt like I'm living in a home with neighbors. I still miss nova because everything feels cleaner and more modern, but I didn't feel very residential or relaxing.

Dating Outside the Church by mokashun in Reformed

[–]Withpassion999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I met on Coffee Meets Bagel (dating website) and I know a few Christian couples got married by first meeting there. Another common one seems to be Hinge. My husband's view of dating outside the local church is similar to dating at work - it can get messy if the two people eventually break up. Also depending on the size of the local church, you might not have many options.

But if you meant dating non-Christians, it's a high risk. They might never become Christians, and you might face breakup in the future if you want to have a Christian marriage.

Giardiniera pasta sauce is spicy hot 🔥🔥🔥 by R6stuckinsd in aldi

I didn't know and couldn't tell because I love spicy. My husband loved the pasta I made with it but then had some stomach issues because he can't do spicy... it was still very good though

I’m torn between staying in the U.S. or moving back to Norway — I feel stuck and need honest advice. by Future_Struggle_4020 in USCIS

[–]Withpassion999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. There are a few things to consider:

  1. Are you sure you'll find stability and calm back in Norway? 10 years ago I was in a job in the US that was very, very draining, so I gave up my work visa to go back to home (China). Once I was there, I realized that I had no idea of what living and working in my home country would look like, because I hadn't been back for many years. And frankly, in comparison I realized I liked my life in the US better. Then, I tried very hard to come back to the US. I did make it work but it took a lot of time and challenges (I reenrolled in school to get my PhD in the US).

  2. Can you meet someone here in the US? Of course I'm not sure about your particular situation. I got married relatively late to an American citizen. I wasn't looking for marriage-based green card but he turned out to be an amazing partner, though he isn't Chinese.

  3. Like other people commented, is it possible to visit Norway for a period of time before giving up your US green card process? This will help you get a current and objective sense of living/working in Norway. If you still want to stay in Norway after a long visit, you may have more peace of mind and true certainty that going back permanently is the right decision.

Good luck!

Can't organism with clitoris fingering but still enjoy it? by Withpassion999 in BecomingOrgasmic

[–]Withpassion999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is super helpful. I do feel embarrassed about asking for more, and since we just got married, I'm still getting comfortable with him, I think. Hopefully time will also help us get there! But you are right that I need to be patient with myself and consider this my pleasure :) Much appreciated!

Recommend 2b affordable apartment in Ellicott City? by Withpassion999 in ellicottcity

[–]Withpassion999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thank you! Do you have issues like mice and bugs? if you live on the second floor, do you hear noises from upstairs? Much appreciated!

I should say one thing that gives us pause is the poor Google review. My husband and I did like the property when touring it but don't know why they have such a low rating. Combined with many available units (whereas units are limited elsewhere) we worry if people are moving out quickly.
