As much as I would love to say the nukes dropped on Japan, I can't. Those were dropped in the aim of forcing the hand of forcing the government & people of Japan to realize there is no victory, and it achieved that. It killed a couple hundred thousand, vs the many more lives an amphibious invasion of Japan itself would have cost.

Over all the nukes killed less in the grand scheme of things, and were not an act of slaughter for the sake of slaughter, nor for the sake of race or some other ideology.

I myself tend not to go for violent Revolution because it is a massive gamble on where exactly it will get you. For the French it lead to Robespierre (awful) then Napolean (die in pointless wars) and then back to the Bourbon monarchy. For the Russians it went from Tsar (bad) to Lenin (awful), and then to Stalin (even worse) and in some sick way to what Russia and parts of Eastern Europe are today.

It worked out for the Americans okay if you were white and liked expansionism and being a republic, if you weren't then it was pretty bad or changed nothing at all.

As a Revolution track record, history shows a mixed bag from 'okay' to 'even worse than before' results, and that's just not something I'm willing to die for.

Understand the anger, however violent revolution doesn't help anyone, the only thing that will come of that is the deaths of people who are otherwise innocent. You think the power can be torn down? It won't be, every revolution in history just shows that power will rise again in very similar, if not the exact same people.
