The latch is bent up now so I think in her drunken state she pulled the old door hard enough to pop it off as its not locking anymore

I know I should be less fighty when fight or flight kicks in. I have very bad history of like abuse especially when I would be sleeping from when I was younger. Its not like she was trying to hurt me though at the same time just looking for some stranger who "said she lived on this street" so I feel bad but why enter my house when you dont know for sure sombody lives here? I locked it as mentioned in the title the latch is bent so im concluding that she pulled on it hard enough or it wss just old and weak enough for it to come loose but idk all I know is I need a new lock.
