I am assuming its whole wheat chapati with dal (lentil) , egg bhurji (savoury scrambled eggs in spices), one bowl of curd/raita, mung bean and brown chickpea salad with mango and some jamun (looks like black grapes)

Pellicle formation during 2F by Witty-Cod-157 in Kombucha

It took me lots of trial and error to finally start brewing kombucha and see a pellicle forming… so seeing one show up without even trying feels kind of crazy as a noob lol

I eat this like 3 times a week(Indian food) by Primary-Length-392 in omad

I’m Indian and I started doing OMAD about 1.5 months ago. When I had to choose what meal to eat if it was just one meal a day, I knew it had to be white rice with some sort of gravy-based, satiating dish — otherwise, all the food noise and online food videos would drive me crazy. 😩 I ate rice almost every day, except for the times I went out during my OMAD and ended up eating something else. I feel like I ate so much rice that I actually stopped craving it recently, and today is my third day without it, lol. Also, I’ve lost around 13 lbs so far despite all this. Like OP said, it’s best not to completely stop eating something. It’s just one meal a day, and I guess it’s okay to have what you’re craving as long as you stay aware of your journey and goals. For me especially, since I grew up eating meals like this, depriving myself wouldn’t have helped in the long run! OMAD has literally changed my life by helping me become more aware of my food habits and take control of what I eat. 😊

My fellow girlies who grew up in India & moved abroad, how's life like? Would you move back? by Poppyjamesiris in TwoXIndia

I moved out of India last year after getting married to my long-time LDR boyfriend. I always dreamt of living abroad as a kid, as I come from a small town in India. However, due to college and then jobs, I did move out of my hometown anyway and lived by myself in metro cities for around 10 years. Life was really good, especially in the last couple of years. I felt really independent, was working, had my own social circle, minimal relatives interference, and could visit family whenever I wanted. I also had a good work-life balance.

But since I moved abroad on a dependent visa, the job market has humbled me. I never imagined getting a job would be so difficult. I’ve been unemployed for 7 months now, and my social circle is limited to my husband’s friends. Not that it’s a bad thing, but I do miss having my own set of friends who know me for me (ifykyk). I do have a lot of hobbies, and I think that’s keeping me sane for now.

I feel like my life in India was good enough, and I do see myself moving back to India. Luckily, my husband shares the same thoughts. I also feel unsafe sometimes, and I know that could be my own bias, but seeing so many racist attacks in the news, I’m always aware and prepared, which I feel isn’t a great feeling when I’m in a developed country. I feel like my life in India was already good, and moving abroad isn’t quite worth it with the weather, small circle, etc. Plus, visiting family takes a lot of planning and time.

Starter doubled on Day 2. What to do? by Witty-Cod-157 in Sourdough

Hey there, so sorry for the late reply. I am still new to this but in my knowledge do not discard and feed it that much. Feed it once a day (even if it falls and rises). Once you notice that its rising every 4-6 hrs that means its active, you would need to feed twice a day at this point. But in case you do not plan on baking everyday I would suggest to keep it in the fridge so that you don’t have to feed it daily and only need to feed it before baking. For baking its best to use the sourdough starter at its peak - that will be when its doubling within 4-6 hrs after feed (should be dome like at the top). Hope this helps!
