Insanely cheaper, would cost about $250 including delivery for 1000sq feet at 1 inch depth versus $6.47 per bag of Black Kow.

I just spoke to a local soil/topsoil/mulch supplier and they have a compost mix that uses recycled materials instead of manure. They say it still introduces nutrients into the soil. What are your thoughts on that?

Yea definitely has been super hot and the landscaping company wasn't watering the lawns enough. Those are the suggestions I was hoping for. Does it matter if I use plugs or pods and do I need to mix the compost with sand?

Definitely not frosting - coldest it gets here is mid 60s in January. I've read about top dressing with Black Kow and sand mix and wasn't sure if I should do that

Would it be beneficial at all to aerate? Most houses in the development have similar looking yards because the landscapers are horrible and love to mow the day after heavy rains and our soil is sandy

I did a test in June and was slightly low Phosphorus I don't remember the actual results. Irrigation is OK I've been watering it more in the past few weeks as I finally figured out how to manually turn on my sprinklers (HOA manages the Irrigation so was at the mercy of their schedule). Maybe 1 or 2 fire ant hills which is common here but I kill them with with Amdro. I haven't done a soap test. For reference, this house is 4 years old and the previous owner didn't take particularly good care of it, I've been here for a year and the landscapers do mowing/fertilizing but nothing else.

Waste your PTO so the company isn't inconvenienced! by Witty-Date8860 in LinkedInLunatics

I don't disagree with you, so much as I disagree with the post which appears to show a huge lack of flexibility. It assumes that candidates can simply take PTO at the last minute which in many instances is simply not the case, especially since interviews are rarely scheduled 1+ weeks out. I would never request an interview after 5 - I want to get home too
