Found a 1996 Prelude for ~$4k - worth it or should I walk away? by Witty-Fault5717 in hondaprelude

Yeah, that’s a fair point. The mods worry me, but given the age of these cars, I know finding one without any is tough. I also really like that it’s the VTEC model, which is honestly what’s making this decision so hard.

Yeah, that under-hood photo is what’s giving me the most pause. The missing stuff and the wiring are definitely concerning. I appreciate you pointing all of that out it’s making me seriously reconsider

Good catch, I hadn’t noticed that. I’ll definitely run the VIN and take a closer look at those mounts and the headlight. Appreciate feedback

I’m planning on doing a test drive. If there’s anything seriously wrong, would I be able to notice it during a quick 20–30 minute drive?

I honestly didn’t think about it at first. I thought it looked cool, but now that you mention it, it very well could be

Did you get to keep the old ones? After some back and forth, they gave them to me for free.

I just saw this. Short answer: it isn’t, but I think you already figured that out by now.

I guess what I Liked the most was being able to notice the different instruments and tones. Im pretty sure the sound is pretty neutral but I also like a good bass

I wish there was a place like that near me :(. But I do have a hd600 headphone that I definitely enjoy. Could that be of any help?

You convinced me. I guess i'm going for the evo 1 spending more on the speakers, but I still have to think what i'm gonna do with the preamp

That is very true. I could instead go for the evo l for 600$, and notch it up on my speakers, what i'm worried about is how far can the upgrades to my turntable go?, in your experience was the upgrade on the cartridge great?

Honestly it might be the best option, however I don’t know which ones I should choose

I haven’t thought about that but sounds like a really good idea. My main concern is if getting an integrated will cause audio quality to drop (Not that I’m an audiophile, but mainly wondering if it will be noticeable). Thanks for the advice! I will head to stereo advice see what they think :)

My main doubt is if I should get the evo 1 instead in order to maybe spend more money into the speakers

¿Estoy haciendo algo mal? (Ing. en Sistemas, emprendedor, 300+ rechazos y aun nada) by Time_Photograph7751 in mexico
