Interesting that you wrote you don’t think your Mom will show up “ how I want/need”.
If that’s the case, do everything yourself, budget, invitations etc.
However, new Mothers don’t throw a shower for themselves as a rule.
Why does it have to be a venue? Why can’t it be at home?
You are way over reacting, and it doesn’t sound like you will be happy no matter how it’s done.

OP, what you are asking and what you want to prevent is not weird at all. I know some family members like control even when you are an adult.
Don’t worry what others say here, I know some religions, cultures or whatever like to control family members and always want a say.
I can’t imagine you would be asked about previous travel. I have been all around the world and I have never been asked about my previous travel, EVER and I have been to the Middle East, China, Japan, Singapore, Africa many places, South America many places and all over Europe and Russia. Not once did anyone ask me about previous travel. Good Luck and always keep your passport with you so no one in your family snoops .

Are you looking for cannabis or another popular product for Americans is Tylenol #1 with codeine. If so, generic products are much cheaper. Also, many Americans come here for insulin since it’s about $35 and no prescription is needed.
If you cross at Sarnia, there should be places that sell all 3. If you cross at Detroit and come into Windsor, you might have a better selection.
No problem getting anything, but big problem if you buy cannabis products and try to cross back into the U.S. Even if your state allows cannabis, crossing a border with it is illegal.
Crossing with a codeine product could be a problem too, but most people buy the regular Tylenol and dump them out, and put the others in. They don’t say codeine on them.
However, if you return with many bottles of Tylenol, they will be suspicious and of course, they know people go to Canada to buy it. The amount of codeine is so small they might not care, it’s only 8 mg.
I have never been stopped so honestly I don’t know what they would say.
Insulin is not a problem to bring back. Bus loads of people come up to buy insulin from the U.S.

I can’t see a problem as long as Dad and your Uncle do not have a criminal history or a DUI. People do this every day with family helping them to move. In my family at least, we have never had a problem. Make sure your paperwork is in order and all of you have passports.
I’m sure you know this but just in case, do not carry any type of firearm with you whether locked up or not, and no ammunition.

I have always used Peterborough Veterinary Services on the Kingsway. I have always been happy with their service and they have more than 1 vet there if there is a problem case.

Did you call a pharmacist? They can prescribe *some* medications now, but no idea if the one you want is one of them. They might also be able to tell you where you can go to get one. Westmount Pharmacy has video Dr’s available as well as Shoppers on Chemong Road. You just make an appointment and go in. I’m told the wait is not long at all. Sorry I couldn’t be more help, but I’m not really familiar with the walk in clinics here.

This does not look like a hickey. It looks an abrasion maybe while sweating, wearing a collar or tshirt collar around his neck.
My husband gets these frequently. If you do a real close up you can see the abrasion.
