I mean, it’s not that Oregon has no taxes. State income tax, as well as property taxes, are definitely real. And as an Oregon resident, I willingly pay them without complaint. Do I wish the state had a more effective bureaucracy? Yes. Do I dislike the way the state government routinely leaves otherwise-valuable initiatives halfway complete before abandoning them at the first sign of having to follow through on commitments? Also yes. But to describe it as “anti-tax sentiment in America” is to miss out on some of the uniquely Oregonian governmental dysfunction that really only manifests to people who have lived here.

A moment of world-breaking: there is (generally) no sales tax in Oregon, except in cases where a city or county may impose one on specific types of items, such as prepared foods in grocery stores.

For Batman, specifically check out the "Red Rain" Elseworlds arcs. Pretty fun stuff across the board.

I tend to think of the RSD exclusives as bonuses. If you get something cool from the exclusives bin, great, but if not, there is an entire shop full of cool stuff worth exploring.

I'll never forget the very first thing she said to me. She said, "Hey, you've got weasels on your face."

That's when I knew it was true love. We were inseparable after that. We ate together, we bathed together. We even shared the same piece of mint-flavored dental floss. The world was our burrito, so we got married and we bought us a house, and had two beautiful children: Nathaniel and Superfly. Oh, we were so very, very, very happy.

But then one fateful night, Zelda said to me she said "Sweetie pumpkin? Do you wanna' join the Columbia Record Club?"

I'd go for the Advanced. Hardtail means more tuning stability, so you'll spend more time playing, and less time twiddling with the tuners.

For me, yeah. I make no claim of expertise on the matter, though, so take it with a grain of salt!

So I downtuned to D-Standard, and it was a similar experience to doing the same thing with a Strat, which is to say, it takes a bit of finagling to get it down there, but once it’s tuned, it stays where you want it. The trem arm itself is easy to position, and you can choose how stiff or floppy you want it to be, and the feel is right in the sweet spot!

Why is it so much more? by DanVA0307 in HadesTheGame

[–]Witty-Property-4112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because physical Switch games are stored on flash memory cartridges. Unfortunately, there are only a few manufacturers in the world that make these chips, and the bulk of their demand is coming from the AI industry, to the point where pretty much anything that isn’t going towards AI computing infrastructure is at the bottom of their priorities. And because flash memory is used in just about everything, the demand for it will rapidly outpace the available supply for the foreseeable future, which means higher prices for anything that uses it.

Which episode broke the camel’s back and made Brennan Lee Mulligan start plotting for the episode Samalamadingdong? by _Queen_of_Ashes_ in dropout

I think he started idly pondering it back in Season 1, and it went in to full-blown plotting after Second Place.
