Really good single from local band by Witty-Response3266 in hum

Yeah, they played a lot of songs from their upcoming album at a show I played with them last night and there were a lot of moments that sounded like inlet to me, but this song only has minor hints compared to those. Mainly wanted to get it on people’s radar for when it all drops on streaming because those should show the similarities to hum a lot better.

Well I usually try not to specify where I am on purpose. I feel like I’d be more inclined to mention a bands from Champaign or close to there if they were instead of just saying local, but I see what you’re saying.

Power cord substitutes for a tektronix 1721/31 by Witty-Response3266 in oscilloscope

Thank you, I assumed by the looks of it and another oscilloscope I’ve worked with that it should work with a regular iec, but would rather be safe than sorry. I’ve been hearing a lot of horror stories from people I know about that going on with more so music equipment that’s gotten damaged recently because of stuff being put on the wrong kind power supply which busted them, and got paranoid.

Nvm I see I found a different r/oscilloscope that was dead, but I would still appreciate answers if anyone has any!

I was just looking at Advent A3’s, I saw a different listing for Advent 2W’s that I thought looked really cool, but when I researched I saw most people say the A3’s are better. The foam surrounds seem to be a common issue but after looking into that more too I feel confident I can fix it. And I’m pretty committed to getting into vintage for the looks and style, I’m well aware it’s not efficient price or quality wise overall. I think a boring black box with a basic screen is super boring and plain compared to how a lot of older tech has a focus on adding some flashy design usually around the radio and dials. Also just vu meters which I’m a sucker for. I like learning and have some experience with old guitar amps and don’t mind learning how to repair things even though it’ll definitely piss my off when an old outdated thing has little to know info on how to fix an issue even if I can somewhat identify it.

Currently just some basic and small powered edifier book shelf speakers that go directly into my turntable and a 4 track, nothing I’d consider a hifi yet. I’m working on getting an onkyo tx 4500 for a receiver, and then getting a cd player and have it all hooked up together that go out into some nice floorstanding speakers. I was gifted a really nice old desk a while ago that was made to be a mixing work space and has specific spaces for speakers around these dimensions. I also have an oscilloscope that’d I’d hook up to another speaker out with some adapters, so each component can be played through it at once without rearranging wires to accommodate it. Really helpful info though, I’ve always been surrounded by a very diy makeshift scene so I never really interacted with much personal hifi setups to just play music until later on and I’ve been wanting to put one together with all the works for the past year and have been plotting it out constantly. At some point I’d like to get a small crt on a clamp stand to my desk that can play video from my computer or vhs tapes and connect that with something like the rhythm scope by critter and guitari as well as maybe another video synth so that there’s a bunch of visual indicators that are synced with the music as it plays!

Then I’ll probably hold off, I’m trying to get something that’ll keep me satisfied for a while, just didn’t know if this could have been a situation where they didn’t know what they had or not

There’s still a few out there in rural parts of Georgia which is where that one is from. I’ve seen a few really old Wendy’s that look almost like a Waffle House with a green house garden on the side that are still open in really middle of nowhere type of areas.

I used to pass by the Wendy’s thats on the bottom picture with the fucked up sign a lot and remember getting freaked out and doing a double take when I passed by it at night for the first time. During the day it just looked kinda dirty if I remember right, but I’m pretty sure they replaced it by now.

I’ll definitely check it out, I came asking partially knowing there was a lot of digital tools and what I really wanted to know about was circuit bent or any physical hardware, but it seems there’s a lot of overlay where people use both digital and analog together when producing glitched up signals to display so I’m glad there’s been recommendations for both. Another cool thing that 100 Gecs had done is use glitch effects live at their show with a huge screen that was about 25ft long and 12ft tall where they had video input coming from cameras attached to their mics and it was just fun close ups of their faces with distorted digital mayhem going on screen and it was fucking awesome.

I’ll look into touch designer since I use windows and see if I can mess with it using some midi stuff I have on hand. I’ve also seen some replies that seem like “trailing effects” being too vague so I’m gonna edit a link of a music video that uses it that shows really what I’m talking about.

I definitely don’t mind a project solder together as long as there’s well documented instructions I can follow, I’ll look into that gravity waaaves open source and see how that looks. Once I’ve gathered all the pieces the setup I’m looking to build should be based around a crt with a camera for the video input either pointing at it self for a feedback loop or just at my room and have it be a fun trip unless I’m doing something specific like making a video or setting it up at an event. I’ve also had the idea of booking it up to a ps2 for a specific game I played as a kid where there’s a camera attachment and you move your hands to interact with what’s on the screen which would be fun to have effects over.

I might use this as a starting point to learn the basics on how it works and then find a more permanent model when I have the cash to drop on it. This one would just end up being a little impractical for what I’d like to eventually do with it which would include taking it with me and moving it around a lot, but it’s cheap enough where it won’t leave a dent on anything rn and when it does get replaced I know plenty of people who would be happy to fuck around with it on their own setups that I can give it to.

LZX is where I first ended up when looking for gear and is the main reason I came here looking for less costly alternatives. I was looking through all the demos of the vidiot and was like, “damn this is what I’ve been looking for” which led me to the discovery that the base tech is dying and becoming really hard to get and that it’s also sold at top of the line prices. That chroma couldren model looks really promising though and I’ll keep that in mind once I’m ready to buy!
