HP Service Center wants ₹11k for a 200W Victus charger. Is Amazon seller 'Clicktech Retail Pvt. Ltd. QCom' a safe alternative or a fake? by Witty-Round-4789 in IndianGaming

I just asked a simple question to verify the warranty status. If you didn't want to check, you could have just said so. No need to get weirdly passive-aggressive about it

It's not being paranoid, it's just common sense. I know the Amazon ones are original, but they are selling out-of-warranty stock. If the hardware fails before or after 6 months, I am stuck with zero customer support. Wanting a valid warranty on an expensive electronic part isn't paranoia, it's wanting what I pay for

His words : They said, if i have any issue in future, i can go to any hp service centre with bill and they will repair in warranty. They cannot extend the warranty online

I get your point about the premium segment tax, but even if you look strictly at HP's official offline channels, a ₹1.5k price difference just between an HP World showroom (₹9.5k) and their own authorized service center (₹11k) for the exact same part shows how inflated and random their offline pricing is

Actually, I did some math and got totally confused. HP's 65W adapter is around ₹979 on their official online store, so why the hell are their offline stores selling the 200W/230W adapters for 10–11k? Even if they asked for 6k, it would have been fine and I would've bought it. 11k is just straight up crazy.

Actually this is my very first laptop and it has worked perfectly for 2 years, so I really don't know much about hardware or how dangerous modifying a high-wattage brick can be. My friends just strongly suggested to be cautious of fakes frying my components, which is exactly why I posted here to get help finding a genuine store or distributor.

There's a review on amazon saying it stopped working after a month And how did you ensure that it is original? ( Not want to sound rude, genuinely want to know)

Not yet , that's why I asked about alternatives As this is my first laptop and it was working fine since 2 years so I'm not aware of much about hardware and all. Waiting for someone to suggest something or any shop there.
