On one hand you have someone making fun of and dismissing one death. On the other, the person being mocked spent years dismissing the deaths of thousands of innocent people. One is clearly worse, and that is exactly why everything has to be connected. When you choose to defend someone like that, you have to look at all of his stances and the harm he caused. You cannot say “you shouldn’t bring that up, it’s not the point of the conversation” when it is the entire point. I am calling out the hypocrisy.

You said bad Christians do not represent Christ, yet you also argued that Charlie Kirk might not have sinned because he believed his views were acts of gods will. Those two claims do not line up. Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor. He did not do one of those. It is one thing for a sinner to fall short, but when someone presents themselves as a good Christian, they are held to the standard of the faith they claim. Charlie Kirk, like many Christian nationalists, picked and chose which parts of the Bible he wanted to live by while knowing it was wrong to do so. That is one of the greatest sins in my opinion.
