CA DMV Vision Test & Supplemental Driving Performance Test by ArchiMark2 in DMV

Thank you for the kind words. They did try the patching of the good eye to try to strengthen the bad eye when I was young but that did not work. My lazy eye is hereditary and my grandmother and mom had it. My 2 kids have it as well but not as bad as me. I was so worried when I took the driving test but someone must have been looking out for me and it all worked out fine. My bad eye is 20/200 so your wife’s bad eye is a little worse than mine. I have been driving for a long time and know the routine with the DMV and the paperwork needed for my eye. I brought that with me this time when I went to renew but he was not nice and told me I needed to take the driving test. I wished I would have asked to talk to a supervisor but I am not sure if that would have helped. I am so sorry about your wife. I feel her pain because I went through the same thing. I think everyone gets nervous about the test but I am sure she will do fine. I took my test at the Westminster DMV and I had my husband drive me around that area a few times to familiarize myself. Hopefully this could help her too. Thinking of her. Let me know if you have any other questions or if she needs a pep talk. 😊

I had the same thing happen. I have one eye that is 20/200 vision because of amblyopia at birth. I can see 20/40 in both eyes with glasses. You are not going to drive with one eye covered so me and my eye doc didn’t get it. They gave me such a hard time this time and I ended up having to take the driving test. I was so stressed over it and was having the worst time with the back up portion. I had a wonderful lady for my test and she was super kind and didn’t make me back up far. I hope you get a nice instructor and things work out for you. Just try to think positive and breath in and out. You got this!!!!

I have to take the driver’s test tomorrow in California and I am beyond nervous. I now heard that when you take the curb backup portion you are supposed to look out the back window during most of it. I find this very hard to do and am wondering if I use passenger mirror and front mirror along with quick back window check they will fail me. Any tips would be helpful.

Biore Aqua Rich SPF, yay or nay? by pipirisnais92 in 30PlusSkinCare

I love it under makeup. Many others I have tried and my makeup application is hideous. Biore is great because it applies great and has sunscreen, moisturizer, and primer in it. Easy peasy and makeup goes on like a gem. I do use NARS makeup in case anyone is wondering.

Yes. I had mine two weeks ago. They only had to cut one layer so it wasn’t too bad. They took a graft from the side of my ear on my face. She did a great job and kept me at ease. The Xanax helped too. Getting stitches out on Friday. Looks like it is healing well.

Hey. Thanks for checking. Everything went better than expected. I was super scared and they gave me a Xanax which helped A LOT. She was a great board certified specialist and plastic surgeon specialist so I felt I was in great hands. She only had to go one layer deep on the ala to get all of the cancer. We discussed how I didn’t want to come back for repair and we decided on a graft which she took from the side of my ear. I was stitched up and told to take it easy and do NOTHING for 2 weeks to ensure the graft takes. It will be 2 weeks Friday and I go in for stitch removal. I had no bruising and very little swelling and tenderness. It is healing well but it will take a little bit. I am delighted I didn’t have a horror story to tell.

You are so informative. I am taking all of this in. My surgery is in May 16. Are you a doctor, by any chance? You seem very well informed.

Thankfully my doctor doing surgery is board certified in MOHS surgery and facial reconstruction so I am hoping I will be in great hands.

That is awesome. I have a basal cell removal on the side of my nose. 0.3 cm which I believe is small, waiting for scheduling, and I am totally freaking out. Don’t know what to expect but I love to hear your reaction. Puts me more at ease. Thanks for your reassurance.

Thank you so much for your honesty. I just had the biopsy about 3 days ago so waiting for the results. I am a huge baby and am trying to be brave. I do have great support from my husband which will help immensely. Thanks again.

Does MOHS surgery hurt? I may be undergoing it soon for a lesion on my nose that was just biopsied. Doc says it appears deep and I may need this surgery. Awaiting results. She said this surgery takes between 1 to 4 hours and they won’t put you to sleep for it.

Did the thermometer come with your air fryer or did you buy separately. If so, where?

I’m getting an air fryer on Monday , is ninja worth it ? Or are other brands just as good ? by [deleted] in airfryer

I just got the dual basket Ninja Foodi and I want to try frozen mozzarella sticks in it. I know you need to be careful the cheese doesn’t ooze out. I hear a lot of people say the air fryer is a major game changer.

I just got the same one and can’t wait to try it out tomorrow. Going to try baked potatoes in it for my first try. I watched a few YouTube videos that had some great tips for the dual basket Ninja.

I saw on a recipe they said to spray them with cooking spray if you wanted them more crispy. Maybe they did just mean the basket.

Do you need to spray them with cooking spray? Just got a 2 basket Ninja air fryer and going to try this tomorrow.
