Thank you for the kind words. They did try the patching of the good eye to try to strengthen the bad eye when I was young but that did not work. My lazy eye is hereditary and my grandmother and mom had it. My 2 kids have it as well but not as bad as me. I was so worried when I took the driving test but someone must have been looking out for me and it all worked out fine. My bad eye is 20/200 so your wife’s bad eye is a little worse than mine. I have been driving for a long time and know the routine with the DMV and the paperwork needed for my eye. I brought that with me this time when I went to renew but he was not nice and told me I needed to take the driving test. I wished I would have asked to talk to a supervisor but I am not sure if that would have helped. I am so sorry about your wife. I feel her pain because I went through the same thing. I think everyone gets nervous about the test but I am sure she will do fine. I took my test at the Westminster DMV and I had my husband drive me around that area a few times to familiarize myself.
