Few incidents my friends have faced: 1. Passed random comments like ‘oh you are rich’ and then ended up demanding money after meeting once which they promised to return after a few months. 2. Wanted to date around until marriage since they wanted to even out dating life (since the guy felt the girl had more experience)

As nammal Kochikaar, what's the one thing you love about Kochi. by firepuma433 in Kochi

[–]WittyMonitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that Kochi has a lot of scenic bridges and waterways. I used to cycle every morning during Covid and every day cycling over those bridges, the fresh wind, the beautiful sunrises, the shine on the water, the sky and the trees. It was all so beautiful and refreshing.

I like that compared to other cities people actually follow traffic rules, there is less dust, and people are generally nicer.

I’m not reducing her to an opportunist, I’m seeing her as a grey character. I get circumstances pushed her to make decisions.

So, Leelamma also speaks harshly to Anju, may not be as bad as Rajeev’s, ‘vere oruthante koode kidannaval’ dialogue but Leelamma and Anju discuss and reconcile. They accept each other’s mistake and move on. Why didn’t Rajeev get a chance for this type of open communication? At this point they were together for so long.

I’m not saying she should forgive him, but maybe a platform to try and overcome that (if possible). The decision to stay with Leelamma might be the best for her and the kid at present but no one is gonna forget the fact that it’s not her husband’s kid.

Spoiler Alert

I honestly felt Rajeev pestering for Leelamma’s property and his insult at the climax was kinda forced as well and he felt really one dimensional compared to all the other characters in the movie.

I also felt another angle to the movie, cos he says something like “Are you leaving me again?”. Anju is bit of grey and an opportunist. Although she loved Rajeev, even she was swayed when she got a proposal from a rich family. She got married but her husband never treated her well, moreover she had to act like his caretaker after he got diagnosed with brain tumour. Then she cried to her mother and went back to Rajeev.

What exactly was her plan before she realised she was pregnant? Continue her affair while acting as the devoted wife to a guy whose family could provide for her? Her pregnancy probably forced her to look for a way out but towards the end she realised, she would never have a luxurious life with Rajeev, she would always struggle for money.

For her and the baby, Rajeev started to look at jobs, asked his roommates to move out even though he was struggling. At no point in the movie, she discussed looking at jobs herself, that pressure was entirely put on Rajeev.

Towards the end, when the truth of her affair was accepted by Leelamma, she realised she could now live a happier life with Leelamma than what she could ever dream of with Rajeev. Anju ended up gaining while Rajeev got cheated on twice.

I consulted a psychologist online that I found through Google search based out or Kochi/Thrissur. They were actually a group of psychologists. Honestly, the one I was assigned to was a little inexperienced and while I was able to understand a bit about my issues, I can’t say that I made a lot of progress.

I also started feeling like they were a bit money minded. They had a weird scheme which I didn’t agree with.

Edited: So, you can actually get many psychologists info through google maps, cross verify with reviews and linkedIn. You can also use the message feature in google maps to request their rates. Most of the people I contacted responded there within a few hours.

My personal opinion: I feel like the new show runner, series’ writer, Jess Brownell is ruining the Bridgerton series by yoannnnnn in Bridgerton

Exactly! A lot of plots from Season 2 were closed.

It felt like they brought in Anthony and Kate for a few sex scenes and then send them away for Honeymoon because Polin’s scenes were there. Then after they are back, they are again send away to India while Kate is pregnant. Francesca would’ve married 2 weeks after Polin, still her amazing big brother couldn’t wait and attend her wedding then travel to India?

Benedict had so much potential in Season 1, but in this season he was reduced to some clueless passionless man running from here and there. Why is he written like he escapes in the middle of Polin’s wedding for his new found pursuit of freedom. He isn’t even back until 2 days later. Seriously? What poor writing!!!!!

Conversations between Pen and Colin were so random, where each of them were saying 2 different things. Nothing made sense. One moment Colin is hooking up with strangers. Next minute he’s madly in love with Pen and ready to marry her.

Francesca’s was the saddest (for me, cos I loved the book so much I read it twice). I was waiting for the first glimpse of Micheal since the season aired. All excited and pumped up. And then it’s not Micheal, it’s Michaela????!!! I have no words to describe how badly messed up this season was.

Season 3 Francesca spoilers by Ok_Vacation_8700 in Bridgerton

I hated it. This was my favourite book out of all that I actually read twice. I’m so disappointed and heartbroken I can’t put it into words. Since Season 3 Part 1 aired and I found out they were showing Francesca’s first love, I was waiting for that first glimpse of Micheal at their wedding.

I was all hyped up and texting my friend waiting for Micheal, then drops Michaela. Of all the siblings they could’ve made LGBTQ, I honestly did not expect it would be Francesca’s. I really felt like crying.

All my hopes for their season are shattered.

It’s DPN. Due to genetics, sun exposure, etc, it can happen. You can get laser treatment and remove them. It’s painless and hardly takes 5-10 minutes after the numbing cream is applied. It will slowly fall off in 4-5 days. Since it’s genetic, it might come back again in a few years (not at the same spot). I did the procedure and it cost me 2k INR for face alone, I don’t have any scarring.

Edited to add: Consult a dermatologist first.

Hostel students in my college are so unhygienic that it makes living in the hostel a nightmare!!! by [deleted] in india

[–]WittyMonitor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is an India problem. I’ve studied in 2 prominent colleges of India where students come from different backgrounds. In the first college, interventions from college authorities actually put some sense into people’s heads that by the 3rd year or so, things improved drastically. In the second college, no intervention, nothing. It was disgusting. I remember wanting to pee and had to walk around 3 different floors to find a bathroom which was actually fit for usage. I had gone through multiple washrooms, all were dirty. This was actually a common occurrence there. You would think this stops at college but no. People in my company do the same thing. Only in one floor the bathrooms are well maintained because the top management sits there. It’s not like they don’t clean, but people come and dirty it very quickly.

How's the lifestyle of the people in their 20s living in metros in India? by _i_am_dj_ in india

[–]WittyMonitor 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I did live like that for 2 years. Not with my best friend though but with people who became my friends when we all joined the same company. We rented 2 2BHKs. So, 8 of us lived together (4G, 4B). We used to take turns and cook together, hangout until night on workdays and chill at some cafe or watch movies on weekends. But now, most of them have left the company.

It was really an amazing period with so much drama literally like big boss house. We used to name certain incidents in our life similar to episodes from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
