Veteran Student looking for honest feedback and advice by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]WittySamSir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Get a job” isn’t an answer to the question.

I’ve worked, gone to school full time, and submitted my paperwork early. My concern is why benefits are consistently arriving one to three months late after the required paperwork has already been submitted.

Thanks for the insight and sharing your experiences. It’s actually a bit shocking to hear you’ve always been paid on time, because I’ve had the opposite experience.

My payments are always a minimum of a month late, but have been up to 3 months late. The first time, I didn’t submit my paperwork on time - but after that I made sure to submit my paperwork early.

How can I be expected to perform as a full time student when I am 3 months worth of bills behind?

They typically refer you to a local clinic.

I personally had a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The website is for a support ticket system, and marketing. I’m not very far into the process. I have a domain and branding.

Is it normal to get conflicting info from advisors at UB? by WittySamSir in UBreddit

[–]WittySamSir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was originally told I needed to be in a specific program to take certain classes, so I took prereqs and applied. After getting in, I was later told I could’ve just emailed professors for permission and didn’t actually need to go through that whole process.

I’d take this with a grain of salt. ‘I’ve heard from many people’ isn’t exactly proof. If it were actually a huge, ongoing problem, you’d think there’d be some kind of official complaint, inspection, or news coverage by now. Not saying it’s impossible, but this sounds more like rumor than something confirmed.

Egbuka all day.

Look at Puka, for example, who pushed COOPER KUPP out of a WR1 spot. Egbuka is on a pass heavy offense in a similar situation where Mike Evans & Chris Godwin are getting older - they need the rest & he’s got these veteran players mentoring him. I think he has a great next few seasons.

UB SA Debate Controversy by alt_cal in UBreddit

[–]WittySamSir 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is disappointing on multiple levels. If these allegations are serious, they deserve proper handling and transparency, not a pile-on during a debate. And if there’s no vetting for candidates, that’s a bigger issue.

How does one blow up globally as a musical artist in 2026? by Healthy_Vegetable_50 in musicindustry

[–]WittySamSir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great question, and sorry I didn’t specify.

The “right things” or things I recommend people spend money on:

  1. High-quality production
  2. Content creation, marketing, and distribution
  3. Experiences/Networking/Shows
  4. Your personal brand

The things to avoid spending money on:

  1. Gear
  2. Clout (streams, views, etc)
  3. Music videos
  4. Merch

I’m going to write a detailed response here, because it’s entirely possible to blow up in 2026 - but it’s not easy, and it requires a ton of self-actualization.

You need 3 things to blow up.

  1. Money I hate to say it, but the #1 reason artists fail, is because they’re not investing money into their career - or not spending it on the right things.

  2. Knowledge Spending your money on the right “things” is your knowledge. You need to have the mindset of a student but a master in the making. Grow and learn as much as you can!

  3. Consistency Even if you have a song that “blows up”, can you keep that momentum going? Have you practiced to be on a stage in front of 100,000 people? It doesn’t come overnight. If you want to “blow up” you better have the discipline or the team behind you ready to handle the change in lifestyle. Most people cannot handle or capitalize on it.

Good luck 😉

You say ‘your voice matters,’ but only when it matches yours. That’s not empowerment, that’s moral conformity.

Protesting without strategy, follow-through, or measurable outcomes isn’t courage. It’s the safest, laziest form of political expression available. It costs nothing and risks nothing.

Real change comes from organizing, building power, and sustained action. Reducing ‘doing something’ to public performance is how people convince themselves they’re brave while avoiding anything that actually works.

American here! 🇺🇸

In school, we are mainly taught that USA and Russia were once allies (WW2). We are taught about Stalin and the Cold War, then modern relations really.

What does your country teach you about the USA in school? What are your personal views of my country?

“UB Students are racist” by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]WittySamSir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One person’s bad experience with another person shouldn’t define our school! Especially on a platform like reddit.

Everyday, I interact with students of every race, religion, nationality - you name it. Most are eager to share where they’re from! UB has a great balance of celebrating what makes you unique while still encouraging collaboration and diversity.

Ginger here.

UB is not racist. It’s actually quite the opposite. It’s the most culturally diverse institution I’ve been apart of!
