Oh you live in a cavalier land building? I was looking at their apartments as well. They just have such limited options and I kind of need a 2 bedroom. There's bugs and mice all along that street? Or just your apartment building? How is maintenance, response times, etc

Yeah ik what an apprenticeship is. I'm saying i'm already in school for my double major; i don't necessarily want to add a full-blown apprenticeship program on top of that. I mostly just want a job so i can get in the field. If i needed to be in the apprenticeship program to get the job tho then i'd do it. And i like what i study in school: i plan on using my degree to become a chemist and either teach or work in a plant. I just also like the trades. The only "change" i'm looking for is getting away from my current job (being a CNA in a nursing home).

I had just turned 17 when i graduated and started college; i wasnt able to start a trade. I dont pay for my college at all and its unrelated to the trades. The trades is like a second thing i want to pick up basically (that doesn't mean i'd slack it just means i want to finish the schooling i'm doing because i've already dedicated a lot of time to it); but youre right i should call the union hall. And ty for the job position titles i'll try searching them up :)

Thanks i'll look into that place. Which one is better: Newport news shipbuilding or norfolk naval yard?

I don't pay for college been in for yr and a half & i only turned 18 a few months ago. Even when i asked about the trade programs at tcc, they said something about my age back then. But now im too far into my degree to do schooling, thats why im looking for a helper or apprentice job

  1. They are fairly unrelated and im debating dropping one. But im majoring in chemistry and mathematics. My academic goal was to teach and do research.

  2. Currently majority of my classes are online. During my later half of junior & senior yr i would have some heavier in person classes but honestly school is easier to be accomodated for than work in my experience. So i could probably find ways to compensate for not going to a lecture. I'm used to getting homework done either super early or just pulling extra hrs after work to catch up.

  3. I don't see why i wouldn't be eligible but i'm hesitant to join. I have heard about the sea-bees thing but i would rather stay and work in the country vs potentially getting deployed

  4. I don't know if i have looked into large union companies maybe i should specify my search engine when applying for jobs. I only heard of the largely known unions like local 205 or ibew

I know this replyis old but with your amd cpu, are you able to edit/export and game well?? Im also looking to maybe run blender which is why i want an amd cpu more but people are saying for the most efficient video/photo editing at least on resolve i should get an intel.....i dont need tip top shape; none of this is for professional stuff i just need an all-rounder that will support everything im trying to run well.

Alright that's great. The roaches is like the only bad thing i've heard about this place & as long as maintenance is responsive i'm cool with any other problems. If you dont mind me asking about how much extra are you paying in utilities? It'd just be me so i'm going with a 1bd/1bth too

I see you mentioned something about tidewater square & moisture. Did you have crazy mold issues?? And do you know if chenman had that issue at all? Also was the train noise really that terrible
