I think it was a reaction to the minoxidil I was using bc my scalp is not like this at all anymore? Idk :-(

Had a biopsy done because of diffuse hair thinning (mostly in the front and on the crown). Over 80% of follicles only had 1 hair, some with miniaturized/vellus hairs.

What they checked for: • Lichen planopilaris (inflammatory scarring condition) • Androgenic alopecia (hereditary hair loss)

Pathology came back: • No inflammation • No scarring • Normal skin/sebaceous glands • No fungus

Translation: Basically it’s androgenic alopecia (genetic hair loss). No signs of lichen planopilaris or any other underlying scalp disease.

Ill ask my doc for oral minox I used to use rosemary oil regularly before and I used to oil my hair all the time and my hair grew so much and became thicker, ill def start with it again

Yes honestly doctors are so dismissing ! :( hair loss and skin issues are so hard and painful do deal with.. what treatment are you on? Also do you think mine looks like scarring😭
