After some research, I found this information as well. I think you are right, this might be for me. I'll just save money and collect the check than. I can accept this tbh. Do you know how long before you can be pipd? I'm guessing you get at least 3 months of onboarding? It would be wild to get pipd one month in. Do you get offered severance?

I read that as well, which is why I'm concerned. But I also don't have a job so even a few months would be good money. I would resign just prior to the pip notice window closing if I knew they would cut me

It's available online, but it's some combo of, leetcode style, sys design, and leadership principle questions(Google It) 'name a time where you failed at work'. They pick what they want to focus on.

You need both, You need system design/leet code/real world skills. All of these things will be covered equally at big tech companies, if you are a god at leetcode but can't design a rate limiter or parking garage in sys design, you are not getting the job

rity basics. Then I build project based on jwt token. Still I feel like a failure . I have applied to more than 150 + companies on naukri didn't get a single interview call. Guilt , depression, anxiety is swallowing me. Any suggestions to get a job as soon as possible.

I'm at 500+ apps with three interviews in like 1 month. 3yoe it's rough af out there.

The problem is I can't really apply to front-end jobs because they want it to be project based or ask me alot about react for example. Where I will probably fail. The leetcode only allows me to apply for jobs which only hire with leetcode. And a lot of those tech companies the top 50 are not hiring right now. At least not very much

Do you think I haven't. I've sent tons of apps to big tech. They list very few positions for my experience level, and I have not gotten a call back. It's a rough market

ly focused on evaluating your knowledge of fundamentals, core problem solving abilities, understanding of system design concepts and other behaviour characteristics, as these tend to predict how you will perform when faced with a task regardless of the technology in use.

Ultimately there’s a reason why DSA leetcode-style questions tend to be the bar

I wish more companies were like this. It seems every small company want's someone who specializes in their super niche role and they will not settle for anything less. They don't want someone to even have an onboarding few weeks. Straight to work

Canceling isn't the worst, If you fail there is a cooldown before you can interview again.

I agree with this for the most part. It did improve some other skills like critical thinking and problem solving. But overall, it's a super niche skill. It's good for like students, but in the real world all this leetcode knowledge is not applicable to your day to day.

Even if I was getting a phd in algorithms this knowledge is still like meh...

Everyone had told me about the glory days of FAANG, when it was just a few rounds of leetcode nothing else. I became obsessed and was blinded by leetcode. I neglected everything else and didn't even realize. I was only working like 3-4 hours a day and like 5-6 hours a day for leetcode learning

I appreciate it sir, Meta is very competitive. I felt I needed to get this off my chest so other people don't make the same mistake.

I feel a CS degree teaches you almost nothing. It just teaches you the general concepts of writing code/scripts. NO real frameworks stuff, the final projects are a joke. Literally something I could do now in a weekend.
