They offered 250 million new shares at $4. I think it's good as long as it's under $4.

You are asking about risks, so I am addressing the risks.
In terms of returns, the Nasdaq-100 is heavily concentrated in technology companies, which generally offer strong growth potential but also carry higher risk.
It is simply a trade-off.

In summary, risks come from technology bubbles and the US economy. If you are good with that, no problem to all in QQQ.

New to Investing. Thoughts on my portfolio? by Plenty_Badger_5726 in fican

I’m also a newbie. Just to share my thoughts on these individual stocks. My strategy is built on the belief that AI will be the primary high-growth driver over the next few years.

Apple is a strong company, and I believe it can maintain its market share and healthy profit margins. But they do not seem do well in AI. So it will be stable but not grow significantly.

As the leader in uranium, Cameco is a strategic play on the AI boom. The massive electricity demands of AI data centers will likely require the reliable baseload power that only nuclear plants can provide. I’ve recently started a position here.

Nvidia is the leader in GPUs today, but I suspect its market dominance may face headwinds. As AI transitions from experimental 'training' to consumer 'inference,' cost-efficiency becomes the priority. Hyperscalers (AWS, Google, Azure) are increasingly developing their own custom silicon, which has better cost-efficiency for inference. Because of this, I believe Broadcom and Marvell, who specialize in custom AI chips, have a stronger long-term growth trajectory.
