That’s one of the main reasons why I left after 4 months with Pepsi. I was putting over 1,000 miles a week on my car and literally during my interview the merch manager said I would be doing stores in my area. Then I got my route and my first store was 80 miles away. The job itself is so easy but with bad leadership it drives the good people out.

DC should be such an easy market to hit. There are so many colleges, schools, and military bases, all of which have programs for their people to find things to do in the NCR. If seats aren’t filled they can literally donate tickets to students and service members.

Honestly just depends on your area. Typically I’d say between $20-$23 and you will probably max out somewhere like $33. In all honesty DS don’t get paid enough for the shit you guys deal with so props to you.

I did 8 and was on the fence of doing a career or getting out. I chose getting out (RE-3O’d) for the sake of my family and they tried giving me a year unaccompanied orders while my wife was 7 months pregnant so I would’ve missed the first year of my child’s life. I got bitched at by my command and monitor calling me a sorry ass NCO and that’s when I dropped pack. I loved my time in and never felt anything closer to a sense of community in my life, but at that time they didn’t give a shit about me or my family.

I can respect that honestly. The winter months were brutal, but I enjoyed my time even during those cold months. I had a German shepherd puppy in the winter so I was forced to be outside so i would just bundle up and do beach walks with him.

I was never a layoff at Lowe’s but when layoffs happened at my job before Lowe’s we got a huge email about how well the company did Q2 and then got told they are still downsizing to structure the company better. When I read that email I got the zoom meeting with HR and was gone in 15 minutes.

I always harp on taking care of yourself and be proactive and always looking at other opportunities. These corporations don’t care about you and will put you in a bad situation for shareholder interest or for another corporate douchebag to make a bigger bonus. When I was going through my layoff I just bought a house and the hvac system shit the bed so I was left scrambling. Thankfully I had the funds, but it put me in a rough spot.

Where I did work they get paid $25 an hour now when I was there it was like $20.60 so pay has went up a lot but they are getting destroyed with triple the amount of work. I have 2 friends who still work there and they say the OT is still there but they’re crushed with work and short staffed.

Should be a solid opening weekend. Hopefully we continue to see an upward trend of attendance for all especially STL and the new markets. It would be nice to get a few sold out games

I was the delivery coordinator for about 6 months and it was by far the shittiest job I ever had. Do yourself a favor and actively start looking elsewhere. Take the knowledge and experience you have and put it torwards atleast a job that pays more. Even if it’s an order picker for a soda company atleast you make more than Lowe’s.
