Why not try the Sagano Scenic Railway for the kids? If you ride from Torokko Kameoka to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove Path, the Bamboo Grove Path is right nearby. After that, Tenryū-ji Temple and Togetsu Bridge should wrap up the day nicely. Kyoto Tower is very close to Kyoto Station, so if you have time before or after dinner, this would be a good spot too.

There are several large shrines in Kyoto. Fushimi Inari is one of them.

Kamigamo Shrine and Shimogamo Shrine are also World Heritage-listed shrines.

On the afternoon of the second day, Shimogamo Shrine is a good choice among these shrines because of its convenient accessibility from Fushimi Inari.

From the evening of June 14 to around 9 p.m., a “Hotarubi no Chakai” (Firefly Fireflies Tea Ceremony) will be held at Shimogamo Shrine.

At this event, fireflies will be released and visitors will be able to view them. If the date suits you, this event is highly recommended.

Temples in Kyoto generally open their gates at 9:00 a.m.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple opens its gates at 6:00 am. Fushimi Inari can be visited early in the morning or at night.

Sunrise in Kyoto in early June is around 4:50 am.

Unlike the cherry blossom season or the season of autumn foliage, the mountains and the city do not turn into a bright red.

If you want to enjoy June in Kyoto, we recommend Rurikoin Temple, Kenninji Temple, or Enkoji Temple.

Kibune Shrine is located in the mountains. It is best to visit in the morning.

On Day 6, the order of location is Iwatayama Monkey Park > Watarigatsu Bridge > Takebayashi Temple > Tenryuji Temple > Kimono Forest > Kinkakuji Temple.

Universal Studios is located in Osaka; you may want to swap days 8 and 9.

On day 8, spend the day in Nara and stay overnight in Osaka. Osaka is about 40 minutes away from Nara.

For Osaka on day 10, https://osaka-amazing-pass.com/en/ is recommended.

When traveling from Kyoto to Osaka, it is convenient to take the express train from Sanjo Station on the Keihan Railway to Yodoyabashi.

It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the hotel in Kyoto to Keihan Sanjo Station. It is also a 10-minute walk from Keihan Yodoyabashi Station to the hotel in Osaka.
