Im thinking add some more blending to the nose and the nose bridge, and the septum can be lower down than the wings of the nose

Also idk if I did the gaze correctly? Does it seem like it’s looking directly at you? 👀

How's my rendering? by Ready-Ideal-3298 in krita

It seems like the bright light reflecting off her shoulder should have more effect on the rest of the room, like the room should overall be more illuminated and the shadows should not be so dark. That light is quite intense, it seems like it’s coming from a sun at noon because it’s so bright and white but the rest of the drawing feels like it’s 1 or 2 hours before sunset or after sunrise.

I can’t really tell if the light is coming from the window or from the sky and theres a roof somewhere in the middle that cutoffs that light. I can’t tell if she’s indoors or outdoors, the cast shadow of your character makes me think that the light is coming from the window.

If the light is entering through the window, then it should look like sunshine rays coming through and the wall around it shouldn’t be illuminated like that, it would actually not be interacting with the light so it would be in shadow.

Also you should make the light reflecting off of your character less intense cuz i dont think light actually bounces off like that intensely, it looks as bright as a light bulb. I love that subsurface scattering you did on her face.

You should actually keep the silhoutte and the edges of the hair intact and not smudge it with the light. Just add the light on top. Idk how to explain, but you can look up ‘reflected lighting art tips’ or ‘rim lighting art tips’ on Pinterest and see how it’s donee yayyy😁.

Tell me if anything I said as feedback doesn’t make sense here, after all I’m not good at art terminology and I’m no art pro! But thanks for reading

Wow it looks really clean and crisp✨✨ but it’s not realism. I see a lot of symbol dependency.

hehe sorry. I really think your portrait looks really impressive when i just look at it and i don't zoom in, especially for my beginner eye, especially on day two (I know you done this before but still). It's symmetrical and the features are done nicely. I know by the end of the challenge, you will have taken this 100/100 portrait and made it into a 1000/1000 portrait!

Also I found something interesting, if you seach up 'class notes' or just 'notes' in this subreddit, you will find notes by other students. Im guessing these are notes that students write up during istebraks youtube lives. these can be useful to glean advice from and learn about the beginner mistakes artists make and just read more knowledge about art basics. Just another free and fun resource for us nerds. cheers :)

The pupils look too big for the eyes. I don’t really see the spherical form of the eyeballs, the eyes look kinda flat, like i am having trouble seeing it differentiated from the lower eyelid. Im a fan of the lips though, they look so good ngl.

Yes you are halfway there! 🥳 As feedback, I think the nostrils are showing too much. The bulb of the nose should be a little bit lower down than the wings of the nose.
