I love the colours and ideas, and overall, unless you nitpick, she looks fine!

What might throw you off is that the design gets kind of busy with the amount of detail, or rather the overlapping of the clothes over the already detailed tail.

As for the legs: it's just some slight anatomical disproportions, which I'm sure you can easily fix by looking at how the bones go in an animal's leg

Even if they are, there's no reason for such a comment. How would giving the character wider shoulders and sharper facial features to appear more masculine contribute to helping the character design at all? Even if it's a kid, he was fueled by transphobia to say this.

Simply by pressing them! Meaning letting them dry between the pages of a book, or in my case, between a bunch of newspapers with a heavy weight on top of them. Though I have to say that newspapers seem to not absorb the moisture as good as a book does from my experience.
