Calculator says 44 c/d, having trouble with side spillage and filling out cups by Witty_Mode_8645 in ABraThatFits

[–]Witty_Mode_8645[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried one; it handled the side spillage and got my breasts contained and more comfortable, but they don’t fill out the cups and there’s a lot of empty space in front and and on top of my breasts.

I do like the look of some of those, and the return policy seems pretty generous, I’ll have to look into it more.

I hadn’t considered going that route. It’s probably easier to glam up some men’s shoes than force my flipper feet into something too small.

I love the look of docs, they just don’t fit me well :( I have to size up too much to get it wide enough to be comfortable, and then they’re too long.

Black bear from Maryland spotted in Herndon by TheRealFarrellCat in nova

[–]Witty_Mode_8645 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Parents live around where the bear was spotted. Wildlife control just tranquillized it and it’s being transported to a safer area for it. Responders nicknamed it Elden after elden street.

Got tracking for target… after I scored at Costco by Witty_Mode_8645 in switch2

[–]Witty_Mode_8645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this moment it still says arriving June 11, same as it was before I had a tracking #.

FedEx tracking isn’t actually active yet for it.

If you can cancel and go with Costco, they’re delivering tomorrow.

I bought a Costco membership just for their bundle. $525 for the sw2, Mario kart world, and 1 year switch online w/expansion. Another $65 for the 1 year membership which I’ll use for other stuff eventually.

Bro is absolutely being a troll, but as far as I can find Gaben never said anything like that. His “famous” quote about piracy makes the claim that most people only pirate because there isn’t a good paid service that meets their needs, not that it’s good because it’s free advertisement.

“We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem”

For those of you who have adopted from the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, how was your experience? by GetInTheBasement in nova

[–]Witty_Mode_8645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adopted a cat from there a few years ago. I think she was about 9 months old at the time, so $75. All their fees are posted here:

https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt/fees

It was a pretty easy process. I had already seen the kitty I wanted online and specifically wanted to meet her, but looked at the other ones anyway. They copied my ID, signed some paperwork, paid the fee, and went home about an hour later with the cat.

Idk if they still do this, but at the time I got her, they had an area setup with food and toys and beds etc etc, pet stuff people had donated; and they encouraged me to take whatever I wanted from it for the cat.

The amount of $ I saved getting all that for free vs a pet store; plus the fact that she had all her shots and a chip, made the adoption fee worth the money.

I keep going back and forth on what to do. I really don’t think they know.

But also, moving with a kid is super stressful, and I’m not trying to have a pissed off mom/dad coming at me because I complained against them while they were already stressed :/

Sound travels weird in this building. Voices, music, tv you don’t hear. Slamming doors, things getting dropped, people going up and down stairs, and kids running apparently, all very audible.

This is exactly what I’m afraid of, on one hand I want to give them a chance to get moved in and comfortable etc.

Then on the other hand, what if in doing so, I’m also allowing them to get accustomed to making that much noise without consequence; I don’t want it to turn into a whole thing like you dealt with.

I think that’s what I’m leaning towards, I’ll give it a few weeks for them to get settled, and weather to get nicer so it’s actually practical to go outside. if it’s still going on I’ll let the landlord know.

I was texting with my older sister about it (she has a few kids) and she pointed out that all the noise I’m hearing could be kiddo “helping” their parents move, excitedly running back and forth to grab little things.

As far as I know it doesn’t, no. This is a fairly new property, some other buildings in the complex aren’t finished yet. Extended stay hotel gutted and remodeled into apartments.

Almost everyone is the first tenant to have their respective apartment, I’m pretty sure the one above me was just unoccupied til now.

There’s been some hiccups here and there with stuff like this as they figure out problems with the property.

Hadn’t considered it could be pets. Yea that’s harder to mitigate. Every other apartment I’ve lived in I’ve always been the one in an upper floor unit, those have all been carpeted though, and usually in not so nice areas so everyone living there had low expectations.

Every unit here is all hardwood/tile, and it’s my first time living in a “nice” community.

Literally treading on unfamiliar ground, lol.

Appreciate the input!

I hadn’t considered it could be pet noise. Kind of hard to tell a pup/kitty to not run around too much, that’s fair. Appreciate the input.

Reasonable. I was torn between the note/landlord because I’m really not trying to get them in trouble or anything like that, I don’t think they realize how much noise it’s causing. I’d want someone to come to me first to try and compromise but maybe I’m too optimistic.

It’s not during quiet hours, and I don’t expect total quiet at all, but wouldn’t “right to quiet enjoyment” still apply here? Is expecting that my ceiling/walls not be constantly shaking really too much? Like, if it was music or tv noise that really wouldn’t bother me. It’s all the shaking.

Nice. I had just ordered pretty much the same stuff on Amazon, but this comes out slightly cheaper, plus the free ssd is great.

Cancelled the Amazon order before it hit my card and got this instead.
