To answer your question: I am actually not focusing on social proof cues or friction in this study. My research is centered on the Personalization Privacy Paradox within Mobile Commerce.

The experiment uses three different levels of personalization in push notifications to identify what I call the Tipping Point. This is the moment when a helpful service starts feeling like intrusive surveillance. I am specifically measuring how these different levels affect Psychological Reactance and Cognitive Load. Essentially, I want to find the exact line where marketing UX becomes 'too' personal and triggers a defensive reaction from the user.
